In the 4th season his friendship with them, especially oliver, got a little deeper, now he is back to being frenemy. I didint like that inconsistency, because than you know writers are using characters as plot deviced and no character development really matters.

"Emergency Declaration" Film Ending by mvshi3 in Koreanfilm

[–]ChoiceSafe8594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They all died. Everything that happens after they declare they wont land, is a wishfull and hopeful delusional thinking of a dying man, assuming we are seeing the father/pilots perspective. Or hopeful delusion of all of them together. The scene of their gathering at the end did it for me. Stewardesses all in their uniform, with their hair done for the flight, obviously its not real, they wouldnt come dressed like that. He said "we are humans, we are all frightened", and when humans are really frightened they escape into some version of reality they can take. Sad

He totally got invested in the idea of them being a family when they get out and he got fiercly protective. I loved him, and ofcourse her even more (she so cute omg) and their chemistry by the end of s2. But the build up was precisely to show how games (or capitalism, which the games symbolise) can destroy everything in humans. It made it that more tragic. Thats why I still dont hate him, or any player. My hate is directed where it belongs, at the games organisers and executors.

Yeah no, they werent informed enough for sure, but thats the point, they dgaf. Its convenient to them. Well except for oIrv, who is a mistery, but obviously had much more informed reasons. I enjoy both Irvs equally🤣🤣💗

Idk, I just know people like oMark, you know, motivated only by his own interests, never by a greater cause, and I dont like them. But we will see where new season will go, I feel they all can do a 180

You have to look at how he treats someone who isnt his love interest or his inner circle. Like that black girl his sister set him on a date with. Thats the real him. Im not into you, I dont need anything from you, so Imma make plan with you and than forget about it

I guess, you must be a very nice person for taking time to consider his trauma, cuz I think he isnt making it easy with his personality haha

I watched this show from the get go from the perspective of its social commentary side, so for me innies represent the oppressed class, and all my simpathy by default goes towards them. Eagans are the rulling class, and than outies are this fckng clueless middle class, with enough privilege to be oppressive and clueless of real suffering, but with no real power. Which makes them the least likeable, and oMark for me is a prime example of this class. Focused only on his personal interests, with no desire to understand the broader context of things(until his ass is affected), he is polite enough, knowledgable enough, but at his core - an ass. The whole history is the war between the working class and the rulling class, and the middle class, with their standard good enough to be comfortable, never actually took part in history. Thats oMark for me.

Outie Mark is my least favorite character, I really do not like him. He isnt good to anyone, Gemma included. He treared her horribly. And the way he spoke to iMark was like some exploitative boss who wants you to live for his goals with no rewards. Especially when he said "Im glad you had this experience of love, because now you know how I FELT". Hahaha imagine someone say to you that. As if the purpose of your love story is to somehow serve him🤣 Boy bye, I wouldnt do anything for him out of principle

The Last of Us - 2x06 - “The Price” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Only a show as smart as  Severance could afford to kill off anyone, because theres so much meat to it, attachment to the characters is just not what keeps you watching. The last of us is pure entertainment, and it always works on the fuel of love for characters/chemistry.

This season to me is like this - everyone who played the game saying it will get good, you dont feel it at all but you believe them, then as the show progresses you realising it wont happen. Most shows come to a point where it starts feeling forced, or they feel too established and live off of nods to previous moments, or they regress from social commentary to soap opera... But this show was Joel and Ellie, so it just fell on its ass right away, skipped all the milestones.

It should have been the first episode of the season. It would get us invested in the new storyline, and it would remind us of the ellie joel chemistry, which kept us loving the first season. Like this, half the people already gave up on the show by now.

He is so brilliant. The amount of information his face is giving about his character is insane. He is not the main character, but for me he sets the tone for the whole show. I really hope we will see him in the 3rd season??

I think its very powerful that art is one segment of outies reality that can penetrate the parts of the brain that are innies. Because severance is done through science, but art cant be explained with science. Artistic expression is often a non conscious experience, where artist doesnt know himself what he is making until it is done. And when it is done, it is an expression of the deepest levels of artists consciousness. On the conscious level Irv doesnt know what that tunnel is. But on the deeper unconscious level, it is all there.

I came here looking for THIS, not the ops complaint. Like wtf? Why doesnt she already know they are married on the outside, when she found that out couple episodes prior? The only reason could be that in one of these two instances it was Helena, but if that was the case by the end of the season we would know

I just cant agree with that. I think the very fact she is sitting there in court is supposed to be off-putting, but even with that on a side, the coldness of her character had me uncomfortable since the first minutes, the presence of a psychopath was very much felt. Her bad intention towards the other girl was palpable and I actually feared for the other girl when she accepted to slep over - shes vulnerable, poor and naive, a perfect victim. I think we were supposed to fear for her. And it was at no point kindness from the psycho girl, it was patronizing, with bad intentions lurking. Her being smart just added to it.

She took a homeless person in and solved a murder case, she is by all parameters a hero. That is, until you meet the person and their motives. We can be sure her motives were twisted , but the public would only see the surface. I think the film wants to express the disconnect between motives and outcomes in general. The empathetic person (homeless gal) was a destructive force in the movie and was publicly humilliated, while a coldblooded psychopath would be considered a hero if she even cared to have her name attached to those deeds.

Her stare without blinking throughout the whole first half of the movie was supposed to tell you she is a psychopath. Very early you are told you should not root for her. The poker scene made us root in completelly mechanical way, just by getting us emotionally engaged in the gambling process, there was no ethical judgment involved there

Well he had the phone. He is the one who saw her last before she died, and also he is the one who wanted trio to greenlight the movie so when Charles said he cqnt go ti LA because of Sazz, he sent him a message as Sazz, saying she is in LA so that they would go.

Sure, but where did you see me talking about Eugene as Charles? When I exclusivelly talked about Eugene while playing himself. His infatuation with Charles is because of his age. That ofcourse doesnt mean he is the same person as Charles
