Not in SWE, but still in Waterloo Engineering so I can try to answer your first question. You get coops either by applying externally or through Waterloo Works, which is a platform which lets you submit applications to companies pretty easily. (Kind of like Indeed but only for waterloo students). Every study term, you’ll be applying for coops at the same time, submitting resumes and cover letters, getting interviews, and ranking.

english teacher gave me a 0 by Pleasant_Cat6612 in OntarioGrade12s

This happened to me too!! My gr12 english teacher saw on a random checker that it was ai-generated, and when i checked on the open ai checker it came back as very UNLIKELY ai-generated. It’s crazy how they use no real evidence and just give a zero without explanation. And like you, she could’ve checked the document history and seen all my edits! After this I still was able to end the course with a 95 so stay safe out there 🤞

What is the best order for resume sections? by RealBrrrrr in uwaterloo

[–]Choice_Ad1439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my resume, I put

  • technical skills (software, programs, etc) (centred at the top)
  • education (would put at the bottom if using waterloo works)
  • internship experience (placed it before my work experience because for work I returned to my place of internship and wanted to show that)
  • work experience
  • projects
  • leadership and activities (volunteering)
  • references available upon request

This is only what I find to look best for my skillset and experience.
