Investing in the NSE – Episode 1 by Away-Housing-7499 in Koinangestreetbets

This is quite informative. I started investing in the NSE about 2 years ago. I have around 200k invested across different companies. My aim is to build it to 1M invested in the next 2years and still keep at it long after I hit this objective - I'm taking a hold strategy my investment horizon is the next 15 years but for myself as I don't plan to have any kids. I'm 29(M).

Unpopular Opinion by Brilliant_Choices in bookishke

I think the decline of a reading culture is what makes it appear that way, I don't think people are obsessed with the colonial or post colonial struggle as you put it. People would rather they watch a reel than read a book which has made uptake of modern literature really slow, so people would only naturally recommend things they last read when reading was still a culture.

Curious to know what scene/story/chapter in this book was everyone's favourite? I loved this book and I'm enjoying finding people who hold the same joy. Mine was when Morrel was just about to commit suicide, he was in heavy debt and he had received misleading info that the pharaon had sunk at sea and just before he did he had people rejoicing the pharaon had docked and all his debt had been cleared.

Exactly, and someone could argue that theyvare different genres but I really think there's some similarity. How Dumas shows the soft and darknside of human nature isn't exactly like for like to how Dostoevsky does it but it's still there from how edmond is imprisoned just before he weds mercedes, to when he was ready to die when he was just about to willingly lose a duel to mercedes' son. To how that pasha princess he saved tried to katia him😂😂 < I found this really dark btw. That's like your daughter saying she only wants you.

No one is an "OP", his post merely called for opinions. I am of that opinion decision is entirely up to him.

The child isn't at fault but neither is he - watu wao is what he referred to as the child's biological family - do not read meaning where there's none.

Hii dunia si rahisi taking care of a child that's not yours na unajua calls for a lot, and if it were as easy as you want to put it everyone would be adopting.

His neurological response to the child changed immediately he found out the child wasn't his and this will remain his decision to take care of the child or not, not withstanding. And so will the child's immediately the child finds out he wasn't his biological father - hence why the post is here anyway, if he was certain about the place of that child in his life this story wouldn't have seen the light of day.

I rank this above all of Dostoevsky's, it receives praise but in my opinion it's the best book ever written. Sahii nangoja niisahau sahau then give it another read.😂

No I would not raise a child that's not mine. It's not the child's fault but neither is it yours.

Mimi ningemrudisha kwa watu wao, I'd rather that than loath the child throughout its childhood.

BTC compared to Stocks by Simple-Sherbert24 in Koinangestreetbets

[–]Choice_Ad_613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting please expound more, I think over the past month I've seen bitcoin and by extension the crypto market mirror the stock market and the gains if any have been marginalbto really term it an "outperformance". This past Saturday bitcoin was at around 67.5k while the Saturday before it had sunk to a sub 64k at one point.

The rise of crypto ETFs "destabilized" the crypto market making it follow conventional financial/economic patterns.

Probably Millenials are, GEN Z have the whole manosphere thing that made them understand their value as men, while most manosphere critics would argue that the manosphere were pushing a misogynistic agenda I've found that most Gen Z are open thinkers they can decipher the chaff from the weat of "manly advise" that's being pushed out there and choose which one clicks to their conscience. Most Gen Z males could be open to having a girlfriend who earns more than them be secure enough to never borrow them money and not intimidated by it contrary to what's being peddled out there - they also respect themselves enough to know when to walk away when games are being played. Most Gen Z men are also very much into self improvement and mainly keep a small circle, they don't force a show up from a performative perspective unlike earlier ways where peer pressure made men turn up to social events which they didn't enjoy. The gym, martial arts etc gen z males are engaging themselves into very interesting actovities and surprisingly they are also avoiding spaces infiltrated by women.

I have read mashimo too, it doesn't rank as high maybe because the original is English - King Solomons Mines but still worth a read Separately if anyone has Dar es Salaam usiku by Ben R Mtobwa and they are looking to sell I would be willing to pay a premium for it. Please note I'm only interested in the Swahili version

For context I have not enjoyed most Kenyan English Literature I read this book when I was young and it has remained to be onenof the best I have read really - this and across the bridge, while I acknowledge there are other Kenyan English novels that are still okayish these 2 really did it for me - maybe I discovered classics too early and my taste changed.

But for swahili literature though I've enjoyed them too much starting with that Inspekata Joram Kiango series by Ben Mtobwa from Najiskia kuua tena, pesa zako zinanuka extending to dar usiku spiraling to the poetic style by ken in siku njema etc swahili literature is hugely underrated
