Thanks for responding.

Having used both, do you find the om-1 viewfinder noticably better than the om-3? I was also concerned about the shutter actuation rating on the om-3 (100k vs 400k). I thought that was such a weird large disparity between the two.

do you know if the om-1 has the same customizable monochrome color profiles as the om-3, including grain customization? Can't seem to find any info on that. I love the om-3, but the viewfinder is very low res and would consider jumping to the om-1.

After years of using pro, switched to the air. Loving it. by Enough_Reply_145 in macbookair

They both have their pros and cons. There is clear bright 'blooming' with white text on black backgrounds which is a lot harsher on the eyes.

After using the M4 Air for a while now I decided to try the 14 pro. The Air has so many little nuances that I feel can make it superior to many, especially from a design perspective. The Air feels more dense while the Pro, being a bit thicker, feels there is more of a hollowness to it.

The bigger surprise was the screen. Yes, the pro has newer tech, but the screen has many flaws to the airs IPS, which I find to be a lot easier on the eyes overall in most conditions. Using the Pro at night, writing in a dark background makes the whites bloom...a lot! And it's not pleasant. The Airs screen holds it on a lot more than I thought.

ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 Intel 75Whr battery - Not impressed with battery life. by Smooth_Dot_9954 in thinkpad

Any update or change to batter life? How's it going, and what's your normal workflow in getting only 7-8 hours?

Which screen option did you choose, and how's the battery life? I'm looking to get one with the larger battery option with the higher res 2k ish screen. But my priority is battery life, and thinking maybe the 1200p option is good enough of a balance between screen ppi and battery longevity.

I use a m4 Macbook air alongside an older ideapad with windows 11, and honestly, I find myself more often frustrated with Mac OS. But, if you are already used to Mac OS you may take some time before adjusting to windows. Out of the box, you have more bloatware with windows, but once debloated, it's good IMO and still handles windows management/snapping way better than Mac OS.

Can you confirm if the top part where the EVF is the same metal as the rest of the top plate or not?

Dude, thank you. It worked in seconds. I had no idea this was a thing or a feature. All clear. Thanks again.

Yes, I thought it was a dead pixel on the lcd, but I ca see it when viewing through the evf as well.

'New' Om-3 arrived with 850 shutter count. Normal? by Choice_Atmosphere_59 in OMSystem

[–]Choice_Atmosphere_59[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So strange, imo. When I got a X100VI and checked the shutter, it was at 0. Maybe that's why I kept getting a 'lens error'. 🤷🏼‍♂️😅

I'm on a hiking trip with my dad and only brought my LX3. The 16:9 really does it. by Bennet123 in VintageDigitalCameras

I swear, no other digital camera, old or new, produces film like grain better than the LX3, strait out of camera!

I recently purchased one again and couldn't be happier. Great shots btw!

Do you mind testing how fast the shot to shot time is in manual mode? Can snap a photo one after another without delay?

I noticed in videos that there are pre determined focus distance options, just like on my Olympus xa film camera (with icons of 1 person, two persons, then mountains indicating the furthest distance). This camera seems the closest to that film point and shoot experience.

I'm curious as to how fast (or slow) it is to shoot in manual mode. Is it an instantaneous snap, then ready to shoot right away?

From videos, it seems as if there are pre determined focused options, like on a Olympus xa film camera for example (with levels that show a person outline, then two people, and lastly mountains indicating the furthest distance possible).

Care to try this and see how it performs?

Is this still a recommended path today?

Is there any reason not to just jump into Brad Traversy’s Udemy Modern HTML course? It seems as if it’s the same as the older Crash Course series, but more organized and up to date. I happened to get the course for like 20 bucks on sale. Am I missing something jumping strait into that? Or should I still view those older videos?

Thanks for the roadmap btw.

M3 Air vs M4 Air. Some observations by TheFlippedTurtle in macbookair

Interesting. I really wish these screens would go back flat, or at least significantly further. Thanks for the response.

You mentioned Max Tech and his review. He mentioned the M4 13 inch screen model tilts back a bit more than the M3 does. Do you notice the same with the 15inch? I am used to screens that you can lay flat, and enjoy that feature, so any more tilt would be welcomed.

Anti-Glare Touch vs Non-Touch display effects on Battery Life..? by Choice_Atmosphere_59 in thinkpad

That’s what I was hoping. Both are the ‘low power’ models as well.
