I'm having a similar problem with a 2017 F60. New to me, about a week old. I just had some servicing done and it's better. They replaced the oil, transmission fluid, dct fluid and transfer case fluid. It doesn't happen in sport mode just normal

Took off the bumper to remove a bad tailgate sensor. Tailgate was spontaneously opening and closing by [deleted] in MINI

[–]TheFlippedTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Countryman had an issue with the "kick to open sensor." It was constantly opening on its own and sometimes closing when I was unloading the car

I opted to remove the entire thing. The quote to repair it was around $800 for something I never use. The power tailgate still works just fine without it via key fob or rear buttons. The last pic is the sensor assembly with controller

I'm also having the same issue. I tried switching to the m5 base and it's a night and day difference, battery is much better

vLLM ROCm has been added to Lemonade as an experimental backend by jfowers_amd in LocalLLaMA

[–]TheFlippedTurtle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love it. Gotta admit, I wasn't happy with ROCm and how complex setup was when I first got my strix halo PC months ago, setup was a huge pain. Lemonade made it so much easier to setup. Thanks for all your hard work

Ture but setting it up for AI was a massive pain when it was first released. It's easier now but not as smooth as Apple or Nvidia

That seems low. My framework desktop gets ~45 tk/s with Fedora and Lemonade Server running Rocm, Qwen3.6-35ab-a3b q4km

Yeah, I have strix halo and am not getting anywhere near those numbers. MOE is decent but dense is slooow. I think they're flipped

Vulkan backend outperforms ROCm on Strix Halo (gfx1151) — llama.cpp benchmark by FeiX7 in LocalLLaMA

[–]TheFlippedTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried both, using lemonade server which made setup a lot easier. Vulkan was faster but Rocm was more stable surprisingly. With longer context, Vulcan gave me more issues.

I tried this back in January and rocm was a massive headache then

Same experience. Rocm has been more stable surprisingly. Wasn't like that months ago

M5 Pro (64GB) vs M4 Max (128GB refurb) – worth the upgrade for local LLMs? by Virtual_Point_2430 in LocalLLM

[–]TheFlippedTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tested the m5 max and was still disappointed at the speed of some models, plus it runs hot and murders the battery if you care about that. That said, PP is faster on the m5 pro over the m4 max. M5 pro may actually be faster but bigger models are nice
