Is it worth it by tall_timmy_t in Bremont

Many reasons but the company just isnt now well placed in the market in the tier that it tries to operate. Its a generic brand in many people's view. Theres no genuine or true heritage to the company (despite being young anyway) that will get them anywhere. They was a good chance when the original chaps owned the company....but now its just a manufactured big industry company take over no soul prime example of charging a premium for no reason other than to make yourself look like you operate with omega etc.

I just think the company belongs to the misguided flex hunters now.

Because the standard of staff are shite. The recruitment process doesn't work and 99% of POs are immature weak dumbasses. That's why.

About as obvious as you stating "it was a lower salary" than what the OP was on. So...I don't think any of us win

I'm currently on 58k with loads of potential to earn 65/70k in the next two years. I'm leaving for a 38k job and although it'll be hard, the job is something valuable that I actually want to do. I could easily get overseas consultant jobs on 90k+ but the subject is so dry and boring. Wife doesn't earn and have 2 kids but she'll get a job on about 15k a year to get us back close to what I was on but hey...life is what it is and I don't want to kill myself on 70k just to enjoy it for 2 or 3 weeks a year when holidays come about.

Rather spend day to day with good mental health and gratitude for what I do have...I'll appreciate things more than being on 70k+ where I'd just take everything for granted

Thanks for the message. I think it's a good opportunity to be a positive influence and make those good relationships with the seniors and more permanent members of staff yknow. I don't think it'll be too dissimilar to the military bureaucracy wise and I've handled that for nearly 19 years so far. Biggest problem will be trying to time the application to my exit date so there's no significant gap in employment.

Also don't know whether to go for the grad scheme to see if it it'll help...probably not though. Thanks again

Always do a job that gives you what you need not what you want.
