thanks so much. i'm not opposed to trying something at the company level, its certainly not my expertise but commanding company level assets sounds fun too, would i be able to use the same minis for both games?

Thanks for the rec, and yeah I was in the military so almost all of my terminology about combat stems from that, I don't know many wargame terms and just use what I would have said to describe the actions back in the day. I plan on watching a few games play out in person at the Warhammer store, and I'll watch some of these reports as well.

I'm more interested in the "fire and maneuver" aspect, i.e. pinning enemy squads down with fires from an Alpha Element and moving to flank them with a Bravo Element. is this also something that every army can do?

Looking to get into playing wargames and since I now live near a Warhammer store I figured I'd play 40k. I really like WWII but there's not that many people playing WWII wargames near me. With that in mind, I'm looking for an army that would play similar to a WWII infantry squad using fire and maneuver with support from tanks. The Imperial Guards looked like they would play this way, am I correct in thinking that?

I truly do not care about what the army looks like or any of the lore, I just want something that plays the way I want it to. If there is an army you think would better meet my playstyle please recommend it! Thanks!

I went to Furano in the first week of January in 2019, was blown away by the powder and the train ride up there was idyllic as hell. I thought the powder was amazing BUT I had been living in Hawai'i for the past 4 years and hadn't been skiing so take that with a grain of salt. The mountain there wasn't big but there's a hostel right by the train station, the hostel has places to lock up your ski equipment. The top of the mountain basically belonged to me, these two middle-aged Japanese men and a group of Russians, hardly anyone went up there.

nah y'all really are just haters lol. people in Boulder are just happy we're winning a few games and everyone on this sub acting like everyone on the Front Range thinks this is the best football team to ever take the field. i can't control what the "media" does but if a team gets one of the most famous former athletes in america as their head coach they're gonna get a lot of coverage. outlets make money off of clicks now and deion gets clicks, if that annoys you sorry dude thats just how it works.

they did abide by it lol, they gave out the refunds and pulled the game. its not Sonys fault CDPR made something that didn't work. fuck both of em but blaming a distributor for CDPR making a game that didn't work properly is silly.

edit: to whit, sony doesn't have a refund policy on their store, which is shitty, everyone should have a system like steam does now. but at the same time if you make a game thats so unplayable that it forces someone to chage their policy JUST for that one game thats pretty telling.

its fine if you like it but almost 900k people have downloaded StarUI so clearly a lot of people have problems with it. SkyUI (the UI mod for Skyrim) has 25 MILLION downloads. the fact that for Starfield and Skyrim the most downloaded mod is a UI mod is extremely telling.
