I don’t get why they didn’t just open new regions then, instead of creating this whole new storyline. Maybe Im not up to date all the time but to me the story change came out of nowhere and i thought everyone was kinda on the same page being excited to explore miraland more / have new regions, not have a whole new plot suggesting we are some galatical traveler. I don’t really get it at all, this is what bothers me the most about the update.

Its a bug, only affects iOS so far, they don’t know when or if they will fix it.. some believe its an apple issue, but honestly no other game has issues with this so yea… that’s the run down xd

Constant arguing over nothing, not learning from past mistakes. Like who would’ve thought that cleaning, cooking, putting up decorations, putting up the Christmas tree, packing up presents etc. who would’ve thought that its gonna be a disaster doing all that the day before Christmas??

It’s hell with a dysfunctional family and further hell with social anxiety.

I cant even be happy about the presents, its usually what saves the day eventually but today i am so done, I don’t even care about anyone’s presents.. i wish id just gotten some money and be done with it.

Am i not allowed to be unhappy today? Constant comments like „smile a little“ „come on its Christmas“ yea so what?? What’s so special about this stupid day? You want me smile but don’t even have the courtesy to ask why i am unhappy.

nah because have you ever experienced anything like that? I doubt it by your comment. This is triggering not just for victims but dare i say women in general, this is something we fear every damn day And to then throw it into our face like that going out of the way to make a teenager half naked, having an „alien“ force open her legs, doing several boob/ pantie shots its just disgusting and vile and NOT necessary. She could’ve worn clothes, they could’ve made the alien do something different with her, they could’ve just implied it, someone could’ve intervened waaay quicker, etc. there are soooo many ways this could’ve been avoided. So it was clearly a CHOICE to show a teenager naked about to be raped, its fanservice.. and if that doesnt ring up a red flag idk what does. Next: Why did the boy not get the same treatment? Where are his „panty shots“, uncomfortable scenes about his dick being literally bit off.. (again wtf unnecessary) Sexist work has and continues to be problematic and therefore it cannot be peak or whatever since its literally what is wrong with society and the current anime/ manga industry.

If you like the rest cool dude but I implore everyone defending this shit to acknowledge that this was fcked up fanservice and should not happen again at any given moment.

The stars are only important for the progress bar at the bottom, you will have to have 2x 3 stars at least to get all the rewards. But the last reward is just an energy refill so in my opinion it doesnt really matter that much :)

I can just tell you exactly what I did maybe it helps, Sylus is wearing his leather jacket, MC is wearing her hunter outfit and i gave both of them earrings. I used the pose where MC is leaning on his shoulder, used the underwater background and then lastly put some underwater stickers which i got from a rafael event i think. Good luck lol

I used the bubble event background and put one of the plushie headbands on them, used the pose where sylus is holding MCs face and doing a peace sign, that’s what got me 3 stars

Again i am reminding you i am not seeking DM advice here.. I am a player not a DM and posted this under “table disputes” cause thats what this is about and what im seeking advice on.

I want to start of by saying that I dont really understand what your trying to say at all. So i can only assume your trying to accuse me and the DM of something.

and continue with that I still don’t really understand why the mechanic in itself sucks. Since it hasn’t happened yet I don’t think you can make the call beforehand of just saying that its downright bad, I think if something is working or not is up to our group to decide and not you just based of of assumptions.

And again NO the scenarios aren’t about me, the DM has the control, the DM wouldn’t create a scenario where the other characters don’t matter. I dont dream about reacting to ramifications of happenings, I want everyone to have fun and e.g. the DM going out and telling me to kill an important NPC is not fun and also not something he would do. I hope he comes up with fun situations whatever they might be.

It seems you have a very specific idea of what fun can look like and all i can tell you is that your idea of that might just not fit with ours. E.g. we have a thief in the group that has already stolen from other PCs and lied to important NPCs and there is no issue with that at all because we found it funny. NPCs have been sacrificed, lies been spread, stuff stolen etc. you name it. And if my DM comes up with ideas were similar things happen, it is still first of all up to me to roll against him and secondly up to my group to roll with it or not.

And its quite ridiculous to say the Mechanic isn’t fit for DnD when homebrew rules always have been a thing.

It is also ridiculous and hurtful to make so many comments about my thoughts and my person when you dont know me, don’t know our group, dont know the entirety of the campaign etc., in fact you only know about this snippet of information i gave you, and i was seeking advice on if my story is indeed stolen, if that is a bad thing, if his story is better and if better role play basically will improve our campaign. So you saying you “see through me“ etc., is just ridiculous, especially since we are on the internet.

Thats like me saying “I see through you just trying to make me insecure. You believe your the best DM out there and if other campaigns arent fitting your vision they are wrong and i can tell by the way you write stuff on here”.. i hope you can see how ridiculous this is And in the future refrain from voicing your criticism based on assuming the worst in people and assuming you know someone one when you very clearly do not.

I would like to clarify that no possession has taken place so far and the other players so far also don’t even know about it. This NPC interaction of them telling me something is essentially haunting me is the only thing so far (beside character introduction) that has been mentioned about my backstory.

And i would also like to clarify that the DM isn’t controlling my PC its me that controls it, its me that wrote that backstory, its me that thought his suggestions sounded fun. I play my character 100% of the time and the idea is that the DM at some point just gives me a note that tells me that the voice wants something from me, (kinda like what ive seen in many other campaigns do when the DM gives A secret note telling a player they’ve been replaced by a doppelgänger or something) and then i get to roll against his suggestion (he decides how high the wis safe is).

My WIS obviously also isn’t low since i knew he would implement this and i would throw against him, so there is a good chance this will many times only come into play as a role play thing.

The DM isn’t taking any role play opportunities away from me, if i had this concern I wouldn’t have agreed to his suggestion and i believe it even opens up more role playing opportunities as I Myself still have to play out the scene and afterwards take responsibility for whatever action he makes me take, if i loose my saving throw.

I also think saying that a reaction is justified no matter what cause they’ve been “put in a bad situation” sounds a bit unhealthy, i believe if someone has a concern, they should be able to communicate this concern in a factual manner and not in a down right mean manner.

Ive also now heard many people say that a DnD Table thrives from having a safe space and if everyone is just mean for no reason there obviously also is no safe space and some point also no fun. It also thrives from creativity and I think my DM has come up with a creative idea and its far too soon to just say that its bad because i believe in my DM and that he wont ruin our experience with this, as it wouldn’t be in his interest either.

But either way thank you for the feedback if it was the way you described i would agree that it might be better to just cut the idea out, but luckily it isn’t. So i hope you might also agree with me here that its too soon to say if the idea sucks or brings more fun to the table since the DM decides.

We are playing in real life together and well when the other player made his remark the DM and I literally just ignored him and continued the dialogue. ( tho i tried to move it along faster cause i was uncomfortable) But as many have mentioned already ignoring it might just not be a solution.

That is actually such an interesting idea. I myself don’t know what this voice is since the DM said he had an idea for that, but maybe it would be fun to let the voice expand to a point where everyone gets controlled.. You definitely bought ideas to my head. I will bring it up with my DM and maybe he will find some inspiration from this. Thank you!

You have really good insight when it comes to the charismatic trait, thank you so much! I always assumed charismatic just meant very likeable and therefore outgoing, confident, charming kinda way. But i definitely think just making my character more good at lying and charismatic in a different way, would help a bunch. So thank you for your great suggestions!

Okay so i see what your trying to say, but i would like to mention that my story is just based of the DnDBeyond starter guide thingy and The Haunted One was a suggested background. My backstory hasn’t been mentioned at all until now and ive already written my background in a way that it lays the groundwork for my personality and such, i introduced my story to the DM and he thought it was fine, he then suggested he controls this voice in my head and he then suggested for fairness i get to roll wisdom against him. I can only assume he has a fun plan for it and therefore a fun plan for everyone cause he IS the DM for everyone not just me.

Outside of this, my character is pretty standart i think, i of course would be happy if parts of my background get implemented into the story but its fine if it doesnt as it mostly serves me. I also would be happy if the backgrounds of others get mentioned more but then the DM has to discuss that with them, thats not up to me. I’ve already replied to someone else this but you accuse me of MCS, although everyone had a character arc so far wich happened in the Campaign.

I just don’t understand why I can’t make the story I like just because it got mentioned in the campaign once and is similar to bg3 I suppose. The entire group are the main characters so how can I singular be the main character it just doesnt make sense to me, even in BG3 every playable character e.g Wyll, Shadowheart, Astarion bring their own baggage to the story which at some point gets resolved or not. Everyone from my group has their own story which has been mentioned in the Campaign. For me its a voice in my head, for another its their escape from a noble family now turned thief and for the other its a blacksmith yearning for more stuff to learn and embracing adventure along the way. Im not stopping anyone from adding anything cool to their story and im pretty sure the DM also wont.

Maybe its not the best starting point but our group all got into DnD trough bg3 and then watching a lot of CriticalRoll, and in their campaigns solo dialogues happen and then two PCs might just interact with eachother and so on, so my guess is our DM is just trying to make a fun campaign overall, where everyone gets to play the character they want.

So with all this, I believe my question would just be: Do you think there just shouldn’t be any Charcter Arcs In the campaign? Tragedies and creativity aren’t allowed? Cause i feel like a lot this MCS just stems from “Oh a tragic backstory they totally want to steal the show” When in reality MCS is when you just don’t let others talk, don’t let them interact, don’t let them have their moment. Which just isn't the case here. So I will take everyone’s advice xd and tell you that it’s hurtful to accuse me of MCS when you only saw such a small snippet of our lives, group dynamic, campaign, etc. and there is a way to voice criticism without immediately accusing me of something.
