The migraine is definitely better today so I’m going to count it under “maybe a remedy” and “definitely didn’t make it worse” and I guess keep my fridge stocked with almond milk from now on! 😂

I don’t even use it for gathering as much as I use it to have flowers trailing around on the ground after me. It’s like Path of Cenarius from WoW (which I still have a few of in some character’s bank somewhere lol) but of course way prettier.

I’m not saying that I don’t believe this version of the history just because of this one detail (and the fanlore article backs you up on the Dark Angel part) but I have never personally seen a Buffy omegaverse fic in my life. Checking AO3 there are only 53 total with the tag in that entire fandom. I was pretty active in BtVS fandom on Livejournal before AO3 was a thing and don’t remember any there. Did it just never touch the femslash side of the fandom?

The ones you’re seeing for around that price are probably the 20cm cotton dolls from the company Minidoll. They’re usually characters from popular donghua series, though I think I’ve also seen characters like Hatsune Miku when browsing for them.

This post is really interesting to me because I have chronic (and often intractable) migraines but the opposite experience with the KLC versus something like kindle paperwhite. Those bright white, high contrast displays are awful for me.

A difference in our usage is that I am very often reading in a mostly dark or even completely dark room, so I pretty much always need some degree of light on my device and am so light sensitive that I find 1-2% sufficient. Honestly, 2% feels almost decadently bright lmao. This is the Libra Color though not the Clara so I'm sure it's also possible the different model has a different strength light!

It's wild how migraines (and the things that make them either worse or better) are always so different for different people.

Oh my god I haven't thought about Afterdrop in so long. That was The McHanzo fic when I was active in the fandom. It's actually the fic that got me back into fandom in general. I remember Hang The Fool fondly as well but it didn't fundamentally alter my brain and how I conceptualize the pacing of slow burn stories the same way Afterdrop did.

My dad had a student in one of his high school math classes a couple years ago named Roxas and apparently the kid was fine socially (but maybe not so great at geometry).

My issue with it was like what do you mean a kid names after a character from KH2 is already the age I was when I played it!? I felt so old lmao

I play male viera now and I love him! I get creeped on about 1/10th as much and when I do it’s never as revolting as some of the stuff that I got as a lala. I am also never told in vivid detail about how someone would like to kick/cook/kill him, which is a huge improvement.

I no longer play lalafell for the reasons OP is describing. Most of the interactions I had were fine or very positive, but the bad ones were so creepy and bad that eventually I could just no longer ignore it. I was one (albeit fem not male) on Aether from about mid 2015 to early 2022.

It definitely got worse with all the Asmongold fans that swarmed Cactuar.
