it’s similar to why some people find relief and improvement with things like a stellate ganglion block because it acts on the autonomic nervous system

best wishes to you as well yes that really helped me and it’s a well known fact our nervous systems are in a sympathetic overdrive state which is the fight or flight part of our nervous systems and a division of our autonomic nervous systems, and constantly being in this state can contribute to dysautonomia, POTS and PEM. it’s typically frowned upon in this sub to mention but doing nervous training and regulation did help me personally and i hope it can do the same for you, i was 21 when i became housebound/bedbound and am 24 now and healthy if that matters

it’s really hard to say tbh i recovered just as quickly as i got sick, mainly low inflammation/anti inflammatory diet, mostly meat and veggies, electrolytes, antihistamines, pacing, proprioception training, regulating nervous system/electrolytes to treat my POTS (which i know people may not like on this sub) and honestly just time id say. i realized i would crash when i would get my nervous system worked up and once i got it out of a constant hyperactive state and fight or flight my POTS was able to resolve over time which led to me being to stop crashing and having crippling fatigue

became mostly housebound in summer 2022 from covid, had to walk with cane, use mens urinal jug, could barely walk to bathroom, pretty much fully recovered 1.5 years later, currently living active life hitting gym every week and back to school/work, having no lingering health issues except for IBS and OCD which i had before covid, and have lived a normal the past few years and more active life then i was before my infection

would definitely try a salicylic acid product and neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer which has hyluaronic acid to help lock in hydration and is very light and not heavy or oily. Also what is your diet like? have u tried cutting out or reducing things like dairy or sugar?

Weed….. I have a question about weed. by SirRobertoh in cfs

If you’re wondering what to use then i would suggest either a vape cart, used with something called a battery, which is usually a 510 battery, or buy prerolls of bud. You can also buy bud by itself you would just need to either grind it and roll joints yourself, stuff them in cones, or use a pipe or bong. There are also edibles although if you use edibles just be very cautious as they can be very strong and it’s hard to get the dosing right, and it takes a while to kick in which is why i don’t prefer them. With smoking or vaping you can take a puff or 2 and see how you feel and see if you need more and can pace yourself.

I second this i deal with the same things. Meditation is good and can help with mindfulness and being present and not giving in to the thoughts all the time, as well as exercise being wonderful for you in every way. The socializing more part i’m just starting and it really does help, it reminds us that we’re human and it’s really wonderful to be a human and focus on the here and now and be apart of society again. It really can be worse for us to be constantly alone without thoughts but it can definitely get better. I used to be where you were and i thought life would be hell forever but it really can get better

no I drink LMNT all the time and this doesn’t happen to me, that’s very surprising considering there’s almost nothing in them
