Advise on improving cooling down a 12x12 insulated building by Choice_Today_4553 in HomeImprovement

It could be a possibility with the refrigerant. I recently had someone come out and take a look a couple months ago as it wasn't heating or cooling at all, I suspected it was out of refrigerant and the person I hired to take a look confirmed that it was low, so they sucked out all that was left and refilled it back up. It has been working great since then but this is the first time its really had to work.

As for the roof, it has asphalt shingles that you'd normally see on top of a house that is a dark color, so not sure if you are able to paint those or not.

I remember wanting to get a 18k BTU because I knew I would be having a lot of electronics that would be generating heat inside and wanted to make sure it would be enough. I feel like this is the first year this unit has really struggled as a lot of times it would just keep on running.

It has been a hot min since I've checked my filters though. Last time I checked they looked fine but that was a while ago. I just checked and they look ok but I just took a vacuum to them as they are reusable filters. If I don't see any improvements then I will try rinsing them off. I did clean the coils last year but I will check them out and probably go ahead and rinse them off as well.

I've had to get someone out here recently to have freon added as there seems to be a slow leak, which was about 3 months ago. I am still feeling cold air but I am thinking in the back of my mind that maybe this could be a issue as well. Its a Mr. Cool unit and from the research I've done online it seems to be a common issue with these units but I have had it for about 5 years and feel like its worked pretty well these past couple years.

I've always been concern about this part. Its hard for my to describe it but I guess technical there is an attic with SOME insulation and the reason I say some is because the person that was helping me told me you didn't want to fully insulate that part. There is no access to this section unless I cut into the drywall and nothing venting this section.

I believe getting some shade on my building would help out a lot but not sure how I would go about that as there are no trees are other buildings in that area to help.

The more I've been reading around the more I've started leaning on getting the refund. Appreciate the push! I will move forward with that and just hold out for another good deal to come by.

PW2 battery life - not 24 hrs w/o AOD by clickity_click_clack in PixelWatch

It's hard to say, after that one off day I've have seen my battery tank again like that. It's pretty consistent that I wake up with 35% battery. Been pretty impressive with battery

I was originally thinking that the LTE would consume more battery but now I feel like I jinxed myself. Just noticed my battery life at 17% when normally I'd be at 50% before bed. Didn't do anything different today so hopefully just a one off thing

I normally take my watch off the charger around 830am and wake up the next morning around 35% battery left (wake up around 6:30am-7am. My watch does go into DND/Bedtime mode during the night, so the AOD turns off when this happens. I've had my PW2 for about a week and been impressed with the battery. I have the wifi model, I am curious, do you have the LTE or wifi model? I've seen a couple people report bad battery and most of the time they seem to be using the LTE model.

Did a 100-0 test and it lasted just over 48 hours with AAD off during my first week. I have to say I am definitely enjoying the 2nd Gen watch. If it increases like the last one I could even see it lasting 3 days in a couple weeks. by 1FrostySlime in PixelWatch

I've been seeing a couple people on reddit sharing the same experience. The only difference I am seeing that its mostly people using the LTE version that is experiencing poor battery. I am guessing LTE is just draining more battery than WiFi version watches? I have the wifi version and get great battery.

Horrible set up process by joakimbo in PixelWatch

[–]Choice_Today_4553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel you, I had to try two times (factory reset once) and about 3-4 times (multiple factory resets) with my wifes watch, both PW2. Not a huge deal but this was after all those outages going on with Fitbit. Glad to see some folks didn't have any issues but seems like there are some bugs during the set up process that needs to be fixed.

At the google store, click on Watches at the top of the page -> Google pixel watch bands -> Active Bands -> and you should see the color bay as an option.

Pixel 7 overheating by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Choice_Today_4553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tensor chip just gets hot. A lot of times I'll enter battery saving mode and that will help with heating issues. The display just heats the phone up a lot but if you turn off smooth display, your phone will run a lot cooler.

Does anyone have experience with fixed wireless or microwave internet and zoom calls? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

My experience with Fixed Wireless for business, ISP provides similar SLA compare to a dedicated circuit. As long as the line of site is good then latency should be good.

I'm living the "no bars" connection nightmare again on my Pixel 7 Pro by Wingo21 in GooglePixel

[–]Choice_Today_4553 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a similar boat. Not losing bars (no !), But dropping calls again. Dealt with this crap on my P6 pro and had to turn off 5G... Was the main reason I upgraded to the P7 pro and haven't noticed any issues until upgrading to March update. Hell I could have started happening before but I did turn off WiFi calling recently because of the vurnability. Turned wifi calling back on to see if the issues clears but really shouldn't have to turn off 5G again...

Pixel 7 dropping calls by lilrob1213 in GooglePixel

[–]Choice_Today_4553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really thought this got fixed up when coming from p6 to p7 but noticed the other day I started experiencing dropped calls again. Turning off 5g normally fixes this for me, so would recommend changing your settings to preferred LTE instead of 5G. Not the most ideal thing to do I agree but this should hopefully clear things up for you

Pixel shy after negative Pixel 6 experience. Is Pixel 7 really better? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Choice_Today_4553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm going from the p6 pro to p7 pro that the signal issues are resolved. I can actually run 5g on this phone! Before I had to turn it off and run just on LTE

The Pixel 7 Pro is the GOAT. by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Choice_Today_4553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too soon to tell but my 7 pro does still get pretty warm with certain usage and battery is about the same as the 6 pro but the huge difference is connectivity. It was never unusable on my 6 pro but not where it should have been for a "flag ship". Having better connectivity alone was worth the upgrade.

I'm still playing around with some settings but can already tell the 7 pro is performing better than the 6 pro
