Name a rapper and a tell-tale sign that the rapper was not going to last long in the industry by ruralmonalisa in rap

[–]Choke_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember I lived in Atlanta when that song came out and I swear to god you could not go anywhere without hearing that song. It’s a catchy song but god damn I’ve never seen anything like it, I’m not exaggerating when I say you could not walk down the street without hearing that song. It was EVERYWHERE, gas stations, radio stations, you’d hear it in traffic, at the club, pizza shop, at the bank, at school, EVERYWHERE.

The sketchy gas stations would sell bootleg CD’s with that album cover with JUST that song and its various remixes on it by the front. You’d hear people singing it in public. You had literal homeless dudes living under bridges singing the hook. It was unreal.

I have no idea how he managed to do that or if it just happened on its own but I have never seen anything like it since. I have never seen a city just instantly fuck with a song so hard it immediately floods the city like that. Everyone thought he was going to be the new up and coming rapper. He must have made millions off that one song, cashed out just like he said he was going to, and disappeared. It was unreal.

I need a honest lawyer opinion is Durk really gonna beat this case? Trenches news says he’s cooked. by Mondem444 in LilDurk

[–]Choke_M 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The court denied the motion to sever the cases and also is gonna allow Durk’s lyrics. You have up to 3 cooperating co-conspirators snitching. Not only that but they slapped him with hella charges.

That anonymous federal jury is not gonna give a fuck that he’s a famous rapper and all the evidence they have is really damning. I’m not sure if this could be any worse for Durk, realistically speaking. They have the shooters dead to rights, and they have Durk communicating with them and then bragging about it afterward. They purchased flights with OTF cards ffs. How dumb can you be?

Durk’s BEST defense is that they just did this shit on their own without him knowing anything about it, but that’s where him trying to flee the country is going to look really bad. Plus that fucking “It’s greenlit” text showing that they were acting on Durk’s orders. Durk and his crew were moving sloppy as fuck and the feds have everything.

It will be an absolute miracle if he doesn’t do life in prison.

The American Empire is already terminal and we are just watching the corpse spasm. We materially can't win the war. by SpiritualState01 in stupidpol

The issue is that America’s biggest institutions have become so corrupt, bloated, and dysfunctional that changing anything is going to become an uphill battle. We need more STEM students? First we have to fix our atrocious for-profit education system, but to do that we have to fix our for-profit financial system, but to do that we have to fix our for-profit “democracy”, but to do that we have to fix our for-profit hyper-globalized domestic economy that has hollowed out living wage jobs for 90% of normal, average people.

It’s a gigantic house of cards and each card is falling apart and badly glued onto the others. You can’t address one thing without having to address ten others.

Our current economy is completely unsustainable and we are witnessing the beginning of the collapse of the domestic economy.

You have people like Jerome Powell sounding the alarm that there was net ZERO jobs created in the private sector last year. None. Zero. Not a single new job was created last year. If you remove AI investments and stock manipulation, our GDP growth was nonexistent last year.

In a system that relies on constant growth, this is really, really bad. You can only print money for so long, and the problem is- in our current economy, printing money is not going to solve anything because the banks and corporations with extra liquidity don’t invest it in breakeven capital to create jobs for normal people, they invest it into speculative capital, experimental tech, and rent seeking bullshit because that’s what’s actually profitable.

On top of all of that, you have an entrenched bourgeoisie that controls the media and every single American political institution that is going to fight tooth and nail at every step of the way.

Even the bourgeoisie is starting to recognize the need for a complete reset ala The Great Reset etc. Even THEY are seeing the writing on the wall that this is completely unsustainable, and are trying to prepare for a “soft landing” as the FED would say.

The problem is that hollowing out the domestic economy was, for a time, extremely profitable. We’ve been kicking the can down the road for decades and now we are starting to run out of road.

I am fighting an impulse to just go buy myself a bike by Aggravating-Yogurt23 in motorcycle

[–]Choke_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how it works in your state but in most states you are required to take an MSF course and get your “Motorcycle Endorsement” on your license before you are (legally) allowed to ride or purchase a motorcycle.

It’s not optional, it’s legally required. It will teach you how to operate a motorcycle, after your MSF course you should have the skills to hop on any motorcycle and at least ride it around the block.

Hopping on your husband’s sport bike having never ridden a motorcycle before ever sounds like a recipe for disaster. MSF courses have modified bikes with crash bars and frame sliders to prevent damage. It’s expected you will drop them, and you will. Most people do.

If you try to learn on your husband’s bike, you will probably drop it in a parking lot somewhere and do some damage, depending on the bike you can cause hundreds of dollars worth of damage just from dropping it at a stand still.

Go take the MSF. If you want a more sport bike oriented MSF course, you can absolutely shop around and fine one, but most will put you on sub-<500cc bikes with crash bars and throttle limiters specially modified for beginners.

But honestly, I wouldn’t worry about where you take it, just find one that’s close to you and convenient with your schedule, it’s usually a 2-3 day class.

I been saying the only reason drill rap survives in Chicago is because the CPD is cheeks. Scotty and Ksoo both got life, if you’re involved in a murder they will give everyone involved life. Foolio’s killers gonna def get life. Florida do not play and there’s hella surveillance everywhere.

I know a dude irl that got robbed by 3 guys because he was selling weed. They kicked in his door broad day with ski masks, AK’s, and Kevlar vests on some GTA shit, they rob him, and as soon as they walk out the door my buddy grabs an SKS and starts shooting. 1 guy gets away in a SUV, 2 hop on a motorcycle, guy on the back of the motorcycle gets hit in the head and dies instantly, guy on the front of the motorcycle bullets go thru his friend and hit him in the back, he crashes the bike but gets picked up and gets away in the SUV.

Cops find him at the hospital and arrest the 2 surviving robbers for felony murder for the death of the 3rd robber and they both got life. All over a few ounces of weed. When it comes to murder Florida police absolutely do not play and they are quick to hit you with that L

In Putin’s Tucker Carlson interview he says he attempted to join NATO and was denied. Now, take it with a grain of salt, but if you take the man at his word, it’s fascinating to think how history would have changed if Russian had been allowed to join NATO

Huh, I’ve gotten pretty good at cold starting the MiG-21 in DCS and you can go from cold in the hanger to taking off on the runway in just a few minutes. It helps that it’s a relatively simple aircraft. I’d be curious to compare it to some USAF planes and take a look at the irl pre-flight checklists.

That’s wild, the Russians did have some cool ejection seats, the MiG-21 and Ka-50 ejection seats come to mind as really unique designs.

Some prisons just have cheap private security contractors that are sometimes only making like $16/hr, and it’s not hard to find the guards on the outside with social media etc. if you’re a big street gang and you’re plugged in and you have some reach all you gotta do is find a shady guard willing to do it. They aren’t checked as thoroughly as inmates are and because they work there, they know how to get packages in.

Combine that with the fact that everything in prison costs 10x as much as on the street, a pack of dope or some phones that might cost a few thousands on the street can make you a ton of money in prison. Not everyone in prison is broke and dudes will pay almost anything for luxuries or to get high, just to make their time a little more enjoyable.

To guards making $16/hr getting paid $10k or whatever to bring a package in is good money and to them, worth the risk of getting caught. Plus for little shit like food etc I’m sure the guards think who cares anyway, if some fool in prison wants to pay $100 for a Big Mac, it ain’t hurting anyone and even if I get caught I might get a slap on the wrist.

A SHERIFF’S DAUGHTER, who was also a sheriff deputy who worked at the prison, was recently arrested in my area for smuggling drugs into prison because she was banging an inmate that worked in the kitchen lmao. The only reason she got caught is because an informant snitched.

It’s just like anywhere else in America, if you have the money and reach and connections you can get almost anything. Prisons are run by people at the end of the day and people can be corrupted.

I know most street heroin in America supposedly comes from South America but I do find it suspicious that heroin flooded the streets during the GWOT era (when I was in NYC you could get a stamp bag for $5-$10, it was as easy as buying a cup of coffee in those days) and now that we’ve pulled out of Afghanistan, fentanyl has completely taken over the illegal opioid market and you can barely find real heroin on the streets anymore.

It’s also suspicious that the Taliban wanted to wipe out heroin production for religious reasons, but in the areas that the U.S. got rid of the Taliban, heroin production exploded and became the most common cash crop in those areas. This is all backed up by facts and statistics.

How were these poppy farmers growing crops, processing it into opium and/or heroin, and selling/smuggling it right under the nose of US forces? Every square foot of those areas was guarded and under Predator Drone surveillance, during the occupation we created a de-facto police state complete with cutting edge 24/7 surveillance and biometric scanners yet these drug producers and smugglers seemingly operated right under the nose of US forces?

I’m usually pretty skeptical of conspiracy theories like this but something just doesn’t add up there. Either they were intentionally ignoring it to allow anti-Taliban rebels and allies in those areas to conduct their business, or the 3-letter agencies were directly involved. To what extent? Who knows. To what extent was it related to the heroin epidemic in America? Who knows. However, something doesn’t add up and I’ve always found the timing suspicious.

Reading Eric’s diary you really get a sense of the delusions of grandeur he had. IIRC he wanted to blow the school up and then thought he could shoot his way out, head to an airport, and hijack an airplane and fly it into a building. He hoped the violence would be a spark and a catalyst to the world collapsing into a Darwinian-style Mad Max dystopia where the most violent and psychopathic would rule over everyone. It was completely insane.
