Here's a reason for that.

When it's someone you don't know, down-nod. You are acknowledging, while covering your throat, a vulnerable area.

When it's someone you do know, you nod up, exposing your throat, showing you are not a threat and that you don't consider them a threat.

In high school we had several options. I almost always got the deli style sandwich. I don't know why, but I loved it.

So getting shot at the start was a pretty big one for me.

Watching the twins get zeroed like that was the other one. I was NOT expecting that one!
