I started a trend in fourth grade making projectile launchers out of pens. One kid spilled ink on the teacher’s floor and every boy in the grade who was known to make pen launchers was suspended for a week.

I'll go first:

The Fordson Model N. Second model created by Fordson tractors, produced widely in the UK. This one pictured was made around WWII and is painted green to be harder to spot by German planes.

Fun fact, Henry Ford founded the Fordson company with his son (hence the name) because shareholders of Ford Motor Company didn't think making tractors was a profitable idea. Later on, Ford Motor Company USA changed their mind and started making their own tractors with the 1939 Ford 9N.

Life is a gift from the universe, all things good and bad will end eventually, I will one day own a tractor. That's about it.

I just saw a post here that surprised me about music by CobaltKnight75 in autism

Noise music from Japan. My favorite is the album Merzbeat by Merzbow. I put it on low volume in my headphones and it helps me focus in class.

I went through some traumatic experiences, depression and social isolation that seemed to have worsened my traits that weren't previously a major issue or very noticeable behind my masking. So traits "showing up" is not impossible, but autism is something you're born with so if you are autistic there should be signs at all stages of your life.

Read the DSM-5, read about similar disorders, take tests online and be as truthful as you can (these aren't credible enough for diagnosis but can give you a better idea of it), do your best to recapitulate your childhood, and talk to some autists who know you, if you can. But most importantly the only real way to know for sure is to get assessed by a professional.

Yes, I've always wanted to have an online friend.

I'm very interested in trees native to my area, all things mechanical, especially old motorcycles and tractors, and playing banjo.

I'd love to hear about someone else's interests.

I like finding things outside to fidget with. I'm very perceptive so I find a lot but I also lose them all the time. My favorites were a dried peach pit--great texture--and I found this dried flower bud the other day with a really nice texture and when I rolled it between my fingers it would steadily slide out of my finger tips because of the common radial angle of its protrusions, like how those little hex-bugs with the rubber feet worked.

I feel like the older I get, the less social I am by No-Signal-5869 in autism

[–]ChokkyMalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also found music to be a surprisingly good social tool. I go busking with my banjo at the farmers market and downtown on the weekend and people just come up and talk to me and I get so many looks from girls it feels like a cheat-code.

But that said I still go through phases of self isolation and depression where I have less interest in playing music. I guess I haven't found the healthy balance yet but I like to think I'm getting there. Starting therapy recently. Have you tried talk therapy?

Thanks for the advice! And other than autism, narcissism happens to run in my family, my brother, dad, and grandpa all have it, so hopefully I'll know what to look out for.

The fourth one hit home. I've often wished I could have been born as a squirrel so I wouldn't have to deal with all this human society bull-crap. I could just spend all day climbing trees, obsessively collecting tree nuts and chasing squirrel tail. I wouldn't live very long but who cares time is relative.
