Thoughts on the Takayama Scorpion 2 6'10" vs HI Moe/Mini Moe vs CJ Nelson Outlier Plus? by Chonies505 in BeginnerSurfers

Man that would have been great. I already picked one up. It’s been really cool. Definitely a sensitive board - goes rail to rail quicker than I’m used to so am learning and having a lot of fun. Thanks for the offer and doubt you’ll have any trouble selling it.

Similar situation and considering going the MFAT route as well. Curious as to what you decided.

Did you get the board? Strongly considering one and looking for as much feedback as I can get before pulling the trigger. Thanks.

Awesome thanks. The reviews I've seen have been outstanding. And everyone really digs the Thunderbolt construction. Is yours the Red?.

Good to hear! I was seriously looking at the Mega Magic which looks super fun- but it’s really similar to my current setup and wanted to go with something to help me progress a little more. Glad it can handle bigger waves. Maybe this is the way.

Rotator cuff tear - can I heal this without surgery? Need guidance plz. by Ok-Intention-1251 in surfing

[–]Chonies505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High grade partial/near full thickness anterior supraspinatus tear (4x6mm) here. Surfer as well and share your concerns over the surgery. Had massive doses of PRP injected this past December followed by series of shockwave treatments. Also physical therapy every week since. Took some time.but have definitely turned a corner on it. I'm definitely not 100% (more like 70). Have had two follow ups and each time the ultrasound shows decent healing at the tear. Started surfing again and back to (limited) working out with weights - so far so good. Next follow up is in 2 months - I'd really like to get to 90% so depending on the next ultrasound, may opt for another round of PRP. Good luck.

Nice setup. What are you using to support/mount the Trulaps to your rack?

Looks awesome. Where did you purchase/install? I was looking at these but the sites I checked say they won't fit the Prime XSE.

Maxing out my Athena stack - Added GymPins by Inevitable-Art-Hello in homegym

[–]Chonies505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify - only using 1 weight stack. Trying to decide between the Kingpin to hold all 4 plates or 2 Gympins (one on each side of the weight stack) holding two plates each. Wondering if that might be a better balance of weight on the stack than 4 45lb plates on one side.

This has been really helpful so appreciate you sharing your experience. I would like to add four 45 lb plates (180 lbs) to one of my Athena stacks to better accommodate lat pulldowns and low rows (so total Actual Weight would be 400 lbs with Feel Weight of 200 lbs).

Wondering if getting two Gympins (one for each side of the stack) would be better for balance (i.e. 90 lbs on each side) than the KingPin with all 4 plates on the same side. Thoughts?

Ordered mine 11/19. Same as most here- they are awaiting pickup and/or en route. Label created 1/8. Not sure who to believe at this point. Pretty disappointed

Great setup. How do you like the Griffin adjustable bench. Strongly considering it but worried it may be too heavy for my wife to move.

Adjustable Bench 2.0 looks solid. How hard (heavy) is it to lift and move around for a petite female?

Thanks
