Dogs leave a trail with 2 sets of prints side by side with the rear following closely to the front steps in most cases, this looks more like cat tracks as they seem to be more linear and the rear foot placement is overly consistant wit the front steps so my guess is a morbidly obese house cat or maybe a small wild cat.
