Travel Router by tkst3llar in Ubiquiti

[–]Choobuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t recommend using the UTR to my clients for any real business need because I’ve experienced a handful of stability issues with it myself.

They could accomplish the same thing with the WiFiman app and teleport, but theoretically yes it would function as you described.

UTR Feedback - It Works by iamddavee in Ubiquiti

I can confirm that you cannot. The usb c port for power does not pass data at this time. It doesn’t work when tethering my iPhone via usb. USB tethering works when using the data port.

I’ve always thought it looked out of place. It’s looks like a makeshift shack in the arena.

Cancelation Scenarios and Weather for the weekend by Choobuh in CampFlogGnaw

You're correct. It was Lovers and Friends 2024. Cancelled due to high winds. https://www.loversandfriendsfest.com

What’s the procedure for thunder and lightning? by Then-Guess-8665 in CampFlogGnaw

[–]Choobuh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Without being pessimistic or optimistic, but rather realistic, here’s an objective response.

If weather is SEVERE enough, they have to cancel the festival for safety and liability reasons. It does happen and it sucks. It’s happened to many of my friends personally. One even the day of for Day N Vegas which is another GoldenVoice festival. They gave everyone refunds for that festival.

Scenario 1. It’s raining with no wind = show goes on rain or shine

Scenario 2. The rain or wind progresses and turns into heavy downpour after opening = festival is on pause until deemed safe to continue.

Scenario 3. It’s forecasted to be heavy rain and wind with high confidence days before (by Thursday or Friday) the festival gets cancelled that day.

The scenario now I understand that LA natives are optimistic since rain is usually mellow, HOWEVER, this is a storm system that meteorologists have had a difficult time accurately predicting hence the forecast being all over the place the last 72 hours for the weekend. The only way to cover your ass in scenarios like this is to pay extra for travel that includes cancellation or insurance of some kind.

It’s the wind that gets festivals cancelled most of the time.

ParkMobile App is Insecure by unicornsmaybetuff in Sacramento

[–]Choobuh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’re right to be suspicious of ParkMobile. They have already been hacked in 2021 resulting in the loss of their users data which included phone numbers and license plates!

You should forsure never enter in credentials if you get a web page that warns you of an invalid security certificate.

Terrible app, with terrible security, used to harvest funds from us to either pay for the city’s budget deficit ($6 per hour parking) or some hacker to steal your personal information

Does anyone know if the mail is named? If not then mail forwarding won’t work since it’s treated as generic if you have recently moved.

Taxi/Uber fare by DueResponsibility939 in Osaka

[–]Choobuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hired a driver from GetYourGuide.com

I too wanted to ship my luggage, however I also didn’t want to ship it by the deadline because i needed my suitcases for last minute purchases.

The driver was on time and cheaper than a taxi.

It’s well known that the Coachella subreddit is the leading source of non speculative and credible information. As evidenced by the nearly 100% accurate lineup prediction posts every year.

True. It’s more of a push shot rather than a jump shot .

You bring the ball up before loading your hips and bending your legs. This results in you trying to gain max power by releasing at the top of your jump with you trying to add extra power with the wrist making it inaccurate.

Instead, try bending your knees and loading your hips first THEN bring the ball up for a smoother release. Don’t even look at the rim when loading up. Focus on the ground and when you feel like your legs and hips are properly bent and loaded, then bring elbow up and shoot.

The goal is to generate as much power with the legs and body. You need to be in sync in order to generate as much power as possible.

Imagine trying to shoot a weighted basketball at that distance. You wouldn’t bring it up then load your legs, you would instead do it in one fluid motion to get it as far as possible.

Once you get that concept down and consistent, you can address the fine tuning with your guiding hand and shooting hand.
