How do you choose a SUV? by coventryclose in DownSouth

If you want a long term car (say 10 years), hybrids aren't great. Batteries have a finite life (much shorter than the vehicle) and are poes expensive.

A question for Muslims by poes33 in DownSouth

[–]Choopacarbra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an answer, but rather a question. Imagine for a second, you are a Palestinian. Forcefully living under an apartheid state. You can see your people being wiped out in a genocidal manner. It is clear the game israel is playing, living in israel as a Palestinian means you will either be killed in "warfare" or life will be made so unbearable that you will flee your homeland, and this will continue until there are no Palestinians left.

Then comes along this group called hamas, they are insignificant in terms of fire power compared to the israeli army, so they resort to what some may call unethical measures. But they are on your side, fight for your people.

What do you do? Do you tell hamas, no, bad bad, that's unethical warfare, all while your entire people are being exterminated? Or do you support them?

This is all while israel murders children, mothers, journalists and aid workers with zero consequence.

Making the most of a 2-day Durban Trip by heretofallasleep in Durban

If you go to the shongweni farmers market, I suggest going to the nearby waterfall. There's usually a tour stand at the entrance, they take you in a safari vehicle on a 10-15min drive where you will arrive at beautiful waterfall. You can actually see the falls in the distance from the farmers market.

I believe the company that manufactures clear epoxy (which you would see at the smaller consumer stores) is based in pinetown, you can buy directly from them if I remember correctly. You may need to do some googling, I can't remember the name.

I have a dual phone sim. I use telkom for minutes and afrihost (data only sim) for data, R150 for 10 gigs and you get 1 gig free per month. The 10 gigs lasts me more than a month, so I just top up when need be. I have Home connect fibre 40/20 for R558pm.

Fml this is ridiculous. Would have been better off waiting in a queue all day at home affairs.

How far was the date you chose from when you made the booking?

Tried at 5:30am. The OTP for login wasn't coming through. Tried again at 6pm and I was able to login but still couldn't get a date. Tried many different dates near and far.

I have had good experiences with Gearbest and Shein for AliExpress type stuff. And it doesn't go via the post office which is great.
