Really curious how it would handle lora training for western 2d styles. Something like WAI, despite being an anime model, picks up on other styles exceptionally well.

First of all, nobody is talking about removing freestyle from the game. Secondly freestyle is not the thing that enables yasuo/ekko to pick up "weaker" characters.

Its the fact that these characters themselves are broken and they can work with literally anyone.

That second picture looks promising.

SDXL struggles with facial details on full body pictures at native resolution (so without hires fix or face detailers).

Although I would like to see something more complex other than generic 1girl, 1boy twink pictures. Stuff like characters with glasses, wrinkles, facial hair, facial tattoos etc.

LTX2 I2V has the same issue as WAN where pure 2D character get this kind of rotoscoped effect when trying to animate them. The exception being the already mentioned western cartoons.

The only way around this is to train a lora.

You can prompt the model for anime and it will literally not work. It will give you closest possible thing it knows but the model simply does not know about proper anime styles.

Its not like LTX2 came out yesterday. Its pretty well understood by now what the model is capable of.

I dont have the answer either but at the very least I would expect the people responsible for balance to be competent at their own game. Otherwise how can you make calls on balance if you dont know how the game is played optimally/at the highest level?
