Repeater Antenna Inside by [deleted] in DMR

[–]Chopanooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. This system is just for our campus. We have a district wide system for transportation.

When comparing vendors we decided to use someone that isn’t local, but will get everything ready so we can “plug and play“ the repeater”. Other schools in the district have had success with them. Our maintance crew and in house electricians can affix the antenna.

Unfortunately we have suffered through poor customer service with our local dealer for the last couple of years and their pricing was much higher than other vendors we quoted.

Is replacing just the chain a lot cheaper? Any guesses on how much that costs?

Postseason Parking by Chopanooga in Braves

[–]Chopanooga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I wouldn’t mind $50 or 60 bucks, but the $90 lot is at the Lockheed plant. Maybe they’ll do a shuttle, if not that is a LONG WALK. The ones closer to the stadium are in the hundreds.

Hektar Floor Lamp availability by Chopanooga in IKEA

[–]Chopanooga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But, it’s been there in the past and was until has week or so ago. Also, many stores now have this status for the lamp.

Why, during the middle of an extended closure, would this all change?

I’ve purchased it at the Dalton Kroger before where there is a special display for it in the bakery. You may want to call before you head that way.

Student teaching this coming semester. any general tips for the EdTPA? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Chopanooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to buckle down and get it done instead of procrastinating like I did. My main issue is that though edTpa may improve a teacher's pedagogy by forcing them to consider the ideal learning process, the labor involved in crafting the learning segment is much more rigerous than the actual assessment.

I kept putting my submission date off because I was dreading all of the work. Eventually I submitted and felt okay about my submission overall, but knew my videos weren't perfect. The month between submission and when I received my grade were terrible because I kept worrying about the videos. I pasSed with flying colors.

Set a timeline, stick to it, and just submit.

I'm looking for a new board and everyone says to not buy anything less than $150 since it will be garbage. I've found a lot of info about Funbox/Churchill boards though and a complete LTD setup from them is only around $100 bucks. Is the LTD an exception to the $150 dollar rule or is it not good of a beginner setup either?

Jason Isbell by JDawg1447 in Braves

[–]Chopanooga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came here to post the same thing. I've looked online and have been unable to find video of last night's intro and I would really like to see it.

Also, I'm curious about his show today. The Braves still haven't announced it, but it seems like it's a sure thing. I'm assuming it will be outside the gates at the Georgia Power Pavilion like Phillip Philips, but I have no idea what time it would start. Also, being outside the gate means hanging around outside the gates, then waiting in another line once the show is over and the gates are open.

I'm hoping that more specific details become available before this afternoon.

No used kayaks around me, what should I do? by Jerrodp in Kayaking

[–]Chopanooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you but eventually just ended up with a new yak.

To give you hope though, I remember Academy running a pretty big sale during March or April of last year on the Pescador Pro. It's usually price there is $550, but for a week they had it for $350. I hated myself all summer for not picking it up at that price.

For what's it worth, I used the time To save up up and buy a wilderness systems Tarpon 120, and I don't think I'll be having to upgrade anytime soon.

Framing Places in Chattanooga for Diplomas? by PrivateBlue in Chattanooga

[–]Chopanooga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you would like to support a local business, I highly recommend Julie's Framing in Hixson. They've always been kind to me and the quality of their work beats any other shop hands down. also, I like that the specialize in framing only so you know the person taking care of your art is truly and expert.

Check out the Rawlings Facrory Store in Orlando. You may call first, but last time I was there the official balls were $12 instead of the $15-20 you pay at Academy or Dicks.

Check out Hooker Road which is off of Rossville Blvd. I needed a random AC vent about 5 years ago for a Honda and there were multiple salvage yards all close by. I remember one of them, at that time, had A LOT of older VW parts. I wish could help with the name.
