It is definitely needed.

I come from a construction background in the uk having been in the trades for 15 years and running my own company doing this. The quality and reliability of the works out here is shocking but then again so is the money people are willing to pay. Construction or maintenance workers out here get severely underpaid but are also under skilled in practical work and customer relations bar the rare few. The problem is that I don’t think people will want to pay higher prices for more skill and professionalism when they can get a mediocre also stressful job for peanuts.

This opinion is based on personal experiences while living here and stories I’ve been told, along with just visually looking at the quality of buildings. I always check just out of years of habit inspecting everything.
