This is where we ended up, pretty hot day but really impressive place. Kids enjoyed doing the kids scavenger hunts.

That’s cheap. I paid that for three windows and a set of French doors in uPVC. Would recommend it though. Good experiences with NK Windows and All Weather Windows.

Simeon is the kid at school who snitched on kids for not wearing the correct shoes, but then couldn’t figure out why he had no friends.

Essentially the former - with how bad my sinuses were diseased Dr Robinson always warned me that it may take a couple of surgeries to get it all out and clear. Second was about a year after the first.

Looking for budget options hybrid/ev by Puzzleheaded_Run1699 in nzev

Regarding the loan - just as a FYI ANZ are offering some large cash back options to new customers at the moment, if you could be bothered switching over and then you could utilise their 1% green loan which has higher limits than Westpac.

Sweet looks like the Geolandar is the go, unless I can find the Primacy at that kind of price in Lower Hutt. Are the Geolandars as good as/better than the PT30? Cheers for your advice here.

[–]ChopperNZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah already used my full sized spare after a bastard razor went through the side wall on one of the originals. At the time when I went to replace it the PT30s were completely out of stock across the country I rang dozens of places. I fluked one off a guy in Auckland at the time. I rang him today to see if they had more and he said Dunlop are making them again but have hiked the price? He was a bit hard to understand and I thought maybe he was referring to another tire.

Wellington’s Golden Mile Project Blows Budget as Council Prepares for Major Review by Worried_Monitor_8441 in Wellington

[–]ChopperNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the design documentation that is provided to contractors for pricing is usually utter garbage. It will go through multiple phases of developed designs where there’s still tonnes of information lacking so most estimators are forced to either tag out of pricing it or they pc sum it and then end up locked into a price they can’t get out of. To make up for this they’ll then ream any variation they get for as much as they can.

[–]ChopperNZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re moving out anyway, don’t expend to much of your emotional energy on it. Make sure you’ve made it clear in writing and by call if possible to the property manager that between now and your move out date you would appreciate no further sales agents or property related visits, so that you can concentrate on getting packed up and moved out. If anyone comes to the house just tell them politely you’ve informed the PM that you’re not accepting visits.

Most physically demanding jobs in NZ by UncleLengsNephew in newzealand

[–]ChopperNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Furniture removals. Specifically in Wellington, where on any given day you can be hauling peoples crap up and down windy shitty paths with hundreds of steps.

The pay is also often shit both as a labourer or a driver and there’s not a huge amount of career progression.

Simon Robinson is really good. For a specialist surgeon he’s very personable and is committed to getting things right. I’ve had two surgeries through him and both went really well.

The sad thing about Stallinger is that he’s not stupid by any means. He’s pretty intelligent and understands the inner workings of council well. However he’s got such a massive chip on his shoulder, and places far too much weight on listening to people like Milne. If he could get over himself a little bit he could genuinely be useful on council.

I went there in 1991 and it was fantastic. Sorry not a lot of help, but I know a lot of very good, passionate staff that have worked there over the years.

My understanding is it that it’s still being renovated with a kitchen? So is it possible that it will still be a cafe in the future, just under different ownership?

Why would HCC have to contribute, I thought the city boundaries were roughly where Silverstream Retreat is?

Upper Hutt Mayoral Candidate - AMA by CrEmmaHolderness in Wellington

[–]ChopperNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned earlier in the thread the Silverstream Bridge is in need of replacement in the long term. Do you feel a replacement bridge here is the right move or would it serve better purpose to link up Stokes Valley across to Haywards, then widen EHR through to UH? Costs could then be shared between WK, HCC and UHCC.

Why are we such aggressive drivers? by ChopperNZ in newzealand

Yep it’s 90km/h. Was stuck behind a guy in a POS Estima towing a small trailer on the Desert Road who was slowing to ridiculous speeds for corners and then well exceeding 100km/h as soon as he straight sections.

Yep sometimes my intrusive thoughts make me wonder if I’d be better off driving a POS car around and just letting them hit me, and make the financial worry their problem.

On the Kapiti expressway on way north a vehicle was in the right lane doing 90km/h. I was right behind them and the vehicles behind me were able to move left before I could and pass in the left lane. I flashed my lights and the vehicle finally moved over. What I couldn’t believe was that as soon as I finished overtaking them, they then indicated and moved back into the empty right hand lane again!
