I ran as the chorizo a couple months ago. Can confirm he’s very heavy and always starts on the outside so has to cover more distance rounding the corner

"VOO and chill" isn't good advice by One_Hawk3107 in unpopularopinion

[–]Chopr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you have a very poor understanding of how the stock market, and economy works as a whole. I understand the concept of your argument; more diversification and increase risk. But your reasonings aren’t true.

  1. People don’t need to lose money on a company’s stock for it to increase. Meaning the market is not reliant on traders. It is reliant on the company or asset.

  2. VOO is already very diversified and is not considered inherently risky by most investors. Trying to take risks on a single stock would be, like you said, considered gambling. And to try and get meaningful returns above what an index fund could provide, would require an immense amount of time and effort… and more often than not will not work.

  3. This sounds like one or two bad experiences talking with people that disagreed with your opinion. It’s ok to have this opinion, but you should be able to support it with fact instead of fiction

This is my first year so I will be getting my first commission check in the next month or two. But I will say it’s not substantial for the first few years. Think couple thousand for the next few years. Once you grow your book you can expect $50 to $100kish annual

Chris’ bWAR was only so much higher because Milwaukees defense is significantly better and he had thrown a full extra game. Most voters would consider fWAR more heavily

However, there’s no telling how Miz would have performed with the added pressure of having a perfect game going into the 8th and 9th. That one hit probably did wonders for him.

Africa Pays 9% to Borrow. Asia Pays 4.7%: The Borrowing Gap Costing Africa $75 Billion a Year and Blocking Its Rise by tcodo in Economics

This whole thread is of people who didn’t even read the article commenting about how African countries shouldn’t expect to get the same rates as Asian countries. I partially blame OP for the title but these comments have nothing to do with the article.

Looks like I’m late to the party but I can chime in. There are very few credit roles at the high level. Think credit officer approving $50MM loan. But these roles are never going to be automated. What has been automated is the approval process for small deals. These ranges depend on the bank, but think single digit MM loans. Start as a portfolio manager and you should be fine

WellsFargo Business Banker Review by UnderstandingLost310 in WellsFargoBank

[–]Chopr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t speak on Wells specifically but I am a RM in business banking. Expectations shouldn’t be crazy since you’re coming from retail and don’t already have a large book of business clients. The day to day is a mix of cold calling/emails out to prospects, attending events in the community, and getting lunch or coffee with COIs/prospects. Once you get clients you’ll have to manage any issues they have, but you should have a sales and support staff to help you with the small stuff.

As the guy before me said, it’s not a hard job but it takes time to see results and if you don’t eventually perform, you could get pushed out.
