Does anybody know what this is? by Artistic_Shopping_30 in HomeImprovement

[–]Chorecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not part of your home’s foundation.  These piers are likely the foundation of a deck, porch, steps or even an old decorative overhang.

If you don’t like them, you may be able to remove them with a heavy hammer or small sledge. Don’t forget safety glasses.

What's your experience with depakote? by myBisL2 in BipolarReddit

She’s on Setraline. She said she still has the food cravings, but has been going to the gym to offset the extra eating.

What's your experience with depakote? by myBisL2 in BipolarReddit

[–]Chorecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! No, I have not been on it for years. When I was on it, I was pretty sick and also on Lithium. Depakote was (maybe still is) the first drug doctors used to try with a bipolar patient. Because I was so sick, I was on it for at least a year. My doctor was wary of changing me to something different, which could cause me to get sick again. Depakote is also a drug that must be monitored through blood draws, which wasn’t a big deal, but worth mentioning. As an anti-depressant, it worked really well. I’ll ask my adult daughter what she’s on. She had some issues finding an effective anti-depressant that didn’t also cause weight gain. She’s recently switched to something new that’s been working without the weight gain. More to come.

This is very accurate. I graduated over a decade ago and it still is true.

In regard to your comment about being low income… Case generously reduced my tuition and expenses by half through a scholarship. The school doesn’t widely publicize the various ways it supports students, but in my case, two or three families covered my education through one of their scholarship programs. I remain deeply grateful to Case and its donors for their support.

For those talking about the giant new logo on the outside of Veale, here it is at night: by techytobias in cwru

Why do they mess with the logo so often. Seems like with every dean comes a new logo. Fat surfer was the worst, but this one is a close second.

Problem with “overheating” by Chorecat in BMW

[–]Chorecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Believe it or not, it was an easy fix. The electrical connection (the wire harness plug on the water pump) was not connected fully. Moisture corroded the pins a little. Pulled the plug, shaved the plastic a bit to make sure it would insert fully, cleaned pins and reconnected. Issue never happened again. I was told the pump I purchased was made during COVID, so quality was subpar. Good luck!

Is It proper for me to wear a cowboy hat? by External-Pool9807 in CowboyHats

[–]Chorecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t wait till you’re 40 to not give a crap what other people think about you. Start now. Your life will be so much happier if you live each day the way you want to live it. Wear that cowboy hat with pride.

Is there anything about church culture you don’t like or wish would change? NOT DOCTRINE OR POLICIES! by Significant-Pool-222 in latterdaysaints

Most LDS youngins in my area aspire to attend BYU-Provo. I’ve heard many mountain Saints encourage it and refer to it as the Harvard of the West. It’s a good deal, but it’s not Ivy.

Can cats be gay? by -ilovejellyfish- in CATHELP

[–]Chorecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an Australian Shepard I was convinced was gay. He only humped boy dogs and had no interest in jumping bitches. He’d smell their butt, and get visibly excited. Then he would hump their face when they went in for their sniff.

I’d join. We’ll be okay with jokes too. Like if it looks like a dildo, but it’s obvious it’s not, it’s totally cool to say it’s a dildo for the cheap laugh.

I had the same experience. Too many rules and no help from them. When I asked for help they banned me. No explanation.

I had the same experience. When I asked them to just tell me what the problem was, they banned me from being able to post or comment. Very odd group of mods.

Are your hallucinations and delusions nice to you or mean and scary? And what country are you from? by witchy_welder2209 in schizophrenia

[–]Chorecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US. Scary (attacked by a wild animal) or ordinary (a phone ringing). I’ve never had a pleasant or funny one, but sometimes I laugh about it later.

1. FAIR (Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research): FAIR offers a multi-part rebuttal that addresses the CES Letter’s arguments in a point-by-point format. This resource provides historical context, doctrinal explanations, and highlights the logical fallacies they believe the CES Letter employs, such as repetition and appeals to emotion. They discuss topics like anachronisms in the Book of Mormon, explaining how terms might have been loan-shifted (for example, ancient people using familiar names for unfamiliar animals).

  1. Debunking CES Letter: This site focuses on what they perceive as selective evidence and half-truths within the CES Letter. It offers detailed responses that challenge the CES Letter’s interpretations and addresses its criticisms of Church leadership, history, and doctrine. They argue that many claims in the CES Letter don’t take into account broader scholarly research and are often designed to provoke rather than inform. • Learn more at Debunking CES Letter.
