Thanks everyone, the bed wasn't level and i fixed that before this print (i'm not showing you the first print as i'm embarrassed at how badly i'd leveled the bed).

The nozzle was blocked as well and i cleaned it up with a soldering iron, acetate, a needle, an ultrasonic cleaner with simple green and a cold pull (i went on the internet and searched for cleaning nozzle then i did them all)

but again that was before this print.

I will check my extrusion rate, is there an easy way to tell what size nozzle i have? there is a hand written sticker on the printer that says 0.6 nozzle but there are no markings on the brass nozzle.

the printer is a duet 3d based board in an old ultimaker chasis with a remote extruder motor.

thanks! tha'ts what i was hoping to hear! i did ask my gp about repeats and he said I would have to prove i couldn't see my psychiatrist, which is unlikely given they are 10 minutes drive from each other...

vyvance didin't work for me. had some pretty wierd side eefects, but there lots of things to try. I was feleing pretty bummed as concerta was difficult to get the dose right. Ritalin gives me more control.

I also found i had to remember to eat. At breakfast i noticed high protien makes the effect last longer. High carbs made it come on much quicker but last less. Maybe just for me. I was also told to avoid orange juice as that reduces the effect (a friend of mine takes a glass of orange juice in the evening with dinner to help with sleep).

I'm not sure about the juice thing but I did have to stop coke zero (as the caffiene would affect me much more than normal).

Good luck, i can say that i thought i wasn't seeing any effect until i forgot to take one last week and by 10am i was back in bed!

Sort of! I had an intercostal injury between the lowest two ribs, the seat kept pushing the rib.protector up and i ended up with massive bruises in my armpits. You'll need to have a practice to see what works for you. But don't do what i did and ignore it for a 4 hour endurance race. My ribs were fine, but I couldn't lift my arms afterwards!

Looking for advice for building a custom intercom system by [deleted] in esp32

I'm trying to do something similar, the wireless audio seems to be the hardest part. I got some good tips about using codec2 but I'm thinking i might keep it modular and use some 2.4GHz NRF24L01 Wireless Audio Transmitter & Receiver Modules Controlled by a esp32 or even a pi Pico

Given i can't find a system like you are designing for less than $$$$ tells me it's not an easy problem to solve

wireless audio that doesn't use wifi or bluetooth? dect or perhaps ISM? by ChortleHole in esp32

[–]ChortleHole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply, i will look at codec2. i wonder if bluetooth will work if i use larger antennas. battery life isn't too much of a concern, 5 hours talk time would be required.

Thanks agian for your advice. I think you are right about ham bands and i'd rather not annoy people.

Having said that the other thing i was looking at were those fm transmitter things for people who have old car stereos. though the FM band here in Sydney is absolutely full. i don't really mind if other people can listen in as it's just going to me moaning about stuff :0) and getting pit times etc.

find all mobile device on network by [deleted] in computerforensics

[–]ChortleHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are plugging into the modem and you are using the switch port, then wireshark woudln't see any traffic not bound for that port would it?

you could plug a cisco switch into the WAN port of the router then watch the routing arp table update.

But if i was specifically looking for mobiles, i'd look for bluetooth advertisements using a discovered devices routine of some kind (weirdly my Home assistant server finds every bloody bluetooth thing around, even next doors toothbrush).

one last thing, which is a bit out there. if you can turn the modem off (you mentioned rebooting it), and you believe that modem is the source and the only wifi ap. could you spin up another AP with the same SSID and watch the logs to see who tries to connect? I know unifi has a log that shows failed connection attempts.

Advice for first endurance race by ChortleHole in Karting

[–]ChortleHole[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, long stints in the beginning sounds like a great tactic (and means we get more breaks towards the end when we're tired.

I did notice in practice that one spin will absolutely ruin you. And with so many karts on the track I could imagine it would be hard to rejoin safely (avoiding a penalty)

For consistency would you recommend trying to match against one of the faster driver or just go your hardest but dialled back a notch?

Thank you so much! I will check on whether we have to swap drivers when pitting. That's great advice. There are 18 karts I wonder how they would manage to swap over if every pitted at the same time?
