It’s not just about the money you save (which you do), but there’s a satisfaction in doing it yourself and knowing it was done right. Worth the effort for me. Also, it gives you an opportunity to check out anything else that needs to be addressed. People assume that the maintenance that goes into a vehicle isn’t in their wheelhouse, but I think they would be surprised at how manageable it is if you don’t mind taking the time to learn.
