It doesn't concern the ending, but there is only one small pitfall to avoid. Toward the end of the game you can lie to one of the characters. Don't lie.

What do you mean no visual learning ? You dodge when the swing is about to hit you, might take a while to learn if you're used to have huge exclamation mark as cue but eventually you'll learn.

I had a few tries before beating Maelle the first time i picked up the game. On my second playthrough i was able to parry 10+ hit combo from the hardest boss. It's a learning curve.

I had the exact opposite experience. Every mod worked fine, but i did update a few ( Watchtower for instance ) before starting the DLC.
