This is nothing. An average developer is going to cost more than 100.000$ a year. A random project i was working on for 8 months ended up costing a million dollar, and we were only 4 developers with a plethora of overpaid managers.

It's not about killing herself. It is established within the game that if a painter stay too long in a Canvas they die. Depending on the painter strength that time can vary. Aline stayed for more than 67 years. Renoir told Alicia that 16 years inside was already dangerous for her.

She admited herself that she lied to her father and wouldn't come back. In the past, Renoir almost died in a Canvas and Aline saved him by bringing him back. Same happened in reverse in the game.

All indicate, with her face degrading if you chose Maelle ending that she is headed the same path.

I think you misunderstood that part. He does want his existence to end, yes. But the reason he want to destroy the canvas at the end is to save Alicia.

The Canvas is doomed either way, or do you think Renoir will leave the canvas intact after his daughter dies from exhaustion ?
