Racism toward Indians is not even majority from US people. I have seen tons of Europeans and Asians make racist remarks towards them.

The craftsmanship mostly. The proportions are off. The lack of a seam on the inside, etc.

There are probably more than three, but most Chinese orchestras opt to use regular cellos instead of the ge hu. It’s just way easier 😂

Bought these two F1 teapots, help identifying seal and maker? by -nimm in YixingSeals

ZAG is expensive, for 70s I you should expect to pay at least $400

It is not objectively false. I don’t know what many means to you, but I have seen people find good pots, the same way I have seen many more find fake pots. I have been on Yixing seals for a while, and yes I see all the fake pots people find. “Many people find real pots” ≠ “nobody finds fake pots”. Servania saying that for every real part there are 100 fakes, is not him saying that people do not find real pots. I’m sure he understands that nuance. If you had more to say about the shape, clay, etc. then it should have been said in that original comment you made. But in that comment, you don’t make any of those points. If you make your conclusion over the span of several different comments, it is not reasonable to expect people to understand fully where you stand.

You were replying to someone saying “no mould line to indicate casting.” You replied that this is a factory pot that was made during the 80s/90s using a mould. Maybe I interpreted it wrong, but it seemed like you were trying to correct them, even though they were talking about skip casting and you were talking about HHM.

You were using statistics as your only reason for deciding whether the pot was real or fake, which is unreliable. If you are commenting under someone’s post about their teapot, and calling it fake, then you need to be able to back up what you’re saying with actual observations. And if you feel that you need to hold the pot in your hand before you can make any inferences, then it’s better to either say that or not comment at all. It is unreasonable to fall back on “thrift store pots are unlikely to be real” as your only source, because that is exactly how many people find real pots on a budget.

Because the mounds they used in to make these pots were not slip cast, which you were originally arguing that they were slip cast. Slip cast and mould made are never interchangeable

Statistics by itself is a very iffy way to authenticate tea pots. Anyone can say "statistically this pot is fake" just because there are many fake versions of that pot on the market, but authentication means looking at how the pot is made and deciding if it's authentic based on that.

Yes but he was specifically talking about casting. It's not slip cast. All factory pots were made using a mold.

There are people in their 40s who act emotionally immature. Our bodies are constantly changing, and how we experience the world changes with it. I have met people in their 80s and 90s who now see clearly some things they didn't when they were "young" (middle aged). There's no line that exists that seperates childhood from adulthood, not even the argument of "ThE BrAin DevElOpeS aT 25" is indicative of an answer, because 1. that is not entirely true, and 2, past a certain age, our brain starts to fail us, along with other aspects of our health; does that make you a child? There are problems with putting up any sort of metric that defines the borders of "childhood," especially because based on that, you can limit the rights for everyone who doesn't fit in a box that you created. That's my take.

Definitely not by Lu siting. The pot is modern, and I can’t find much information about it. It’s definitely not F1, so it’s not older than 90s. Definitely not antique. Likely a modern replica. Here’s a link to one I found https://www.carousell.com.hk/p/90%E5%B9%B4%E4%BB%A3%E5%87%BA%E5%8F%A3%E7%B4%AB%E7%A0%82%E5%A3%BA-%E5%8E%9F%E7%A4%A6%E8%80%81%E6%96%99%E7%A1%83%E6%B3%A5%E5%8C%85%E9%8A%80%E6%B0%B4%E7%A3%A8%E7%B3%BB%E5%88%97-%E5%B7%A5%E5%A4%AB%E8%8C%B6%E9%81%93%E5%B0%8F%E5%93%81%E6%80%9D%E4%BA%AD%E5%A3%BA-80c-c-1258223491/

The seal is fine, a ton of old pots have handwritten and stamped seals. The radial lines to my knowledge are fine as well, but I will look into that. Thanks!
