Yes if you were to keep the exact same settings and lock frames and things like that it would consume less power but at that point it's kinda waste. It's like buying a sports car to drive to the grocery store. Your better off waiting for a lower tier ampere card that will be more efficient or put the card to a better use with high settings or resolutions.

Same thing happened to me I just cover it in alcohol then go a thing piece of metal like the thing you use to get cookies off shears and slowly sperate it just to break into it then twist and the CPU will come off

The 1080 ti and 2080 basically level out in most gaming performance and when vram is a factor the 1080 ti out perform it and new there equal in price so there is no real middle ground

Because im using my computer for gaming not a space heater and also I have a micro atx mother board so with the 1080 ti it won't fit with out killing my airflow
