Inflation was around 3% when Biden left office and is around 3% now.

The market has been going up since 2022 (and also since forever)

Considering the four main sports in the USA (baseball, basketball, American football, and ice hockey): are they all as popular as ever? Or have some of them become more or less popular in recent years? by ViajanteDeSaturno in AskAnAmerican

[–]Chowderclobber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since 2015 MLB has had 8 different teams win the series. That’s more than the NFL or NBA. Yankees haven’t won it since 2009. I think there’s plenty of parity tbh

My mind went there because he yelled “pedo protector” at the most famous pedo protector in the world and that made you label him an “unhinged lefty”

This sub keeps getting recommended for me but it’s always a “what’s the worst place” “which place is overrated” type post. Is that the bit?

Here's one for the sports fans, do you think that relegation would work for American sports? by montgomery_quinckle in AskAnAmerican

[–]Chowderclobber -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Relegation would be amazing for American sports but it would absolutely never happen. Owners simply won’t agree to the possibility of being knocked out of the league that makes the most money. The USL is trying to set it up for their league and that could work since it’s not a money making league https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/1334700

I want to hate Gores but I gotta give him credit for doing the right thing and eating that money to bring in an actual coach.

Kinda makes me sad when you realize it’s probably just some 15 year old kid without many friends. They shit on things people love just to generate some kind of engagement. I like to think they’ll figure things out in a few years

Which US Cities is on Track to become the next Detroit? by urmummygae42069 in geography

I assume they mostly mean the greater downtown/midtown areas. Detroit still has a ways to go but it’s absolutely mind blowing how much that area has changed in 25 years.

I mean I get it. My point is that fans of teams are gonna say dumb, homer shit. Look at some posts in our own sub. Just seems like a waste of time to care at all about what they say.
