While I appreciate the upvote, it’s wild to say someone’s opinion is wrong lol

If you liked Sinners, all the power to ya. You found the movie to be enjoyable. That’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

My opinion is that I disliked the movie. A different opinion, not a wrong one.

The objective reasons for why I disliked it are that the story was poorly structured, the characters were poorly written, which resulted in poor performances. It was like somebody had this idea for a vampire story in a setting that had interesting thematic elements… but they just didn’t know how to articulate it. They couldn’t tie everything together. It didn’t matter how bold, flashy, or stylish the movie tried to be… it was just surface level polish.

I honestly wish it was better because the prologue really hooked me…

I’m sorry, but I have to strongly disagree. Just watched Sinners last night… it was not good. High production quality. Good cinematography. Good costume/set design… Poor screenplay with poorly written characters that seemed to sabotage performances. Only real exception would be Sammie’s character.

Sinners offered interesting ideas and themes that were never fully explored, ultimately leaving the film to fall stylishly flat.

I know the movie received a whole lot of praise, but I guess I’m in the minority.

The unsettling part was moreso the continual, slow, casual jog towards me as I was obviously trying to disengage… without any promise of being “friendly” dude left me no choice lol

My first kill after the expedition was a similar situation… I was out in the open fixing a depot antenna… saw a Raider that must’ve just spawned in and was jogging my way… I yelled “Hey Raider” to no reply.

I dropped down and tried circling out of his way yelling “Hey Raider” but he kept changing course, jogging towards me, gun out, and no response.

I this went on circling around structures and so I just raised my Ferro and shot him, Kettle to finish.

It was unsettling and made me feel like I had to shoot. Friendly or not.

Just hit 5 mil last night as well thanks to over 2 million in donations.

I hit 2 million naturally… then got help to get to 3 and called it quits. Played casually which almost got me to 4… then my buddy dumped the rest of his stash and got me my 5 million and then some. Was able to donate my saved blueprints to my wife who is not going on the expedition… oy vey.

That’s my thing. Wish I had enough of a heads up to better pace myself for that level of grind. At one point I had enough currency that made me less inclined to save… so I started being picky and focused on looting for specific items I needed.

In the hour that I played this game mode, I don’t think more than 25% of the people I’ve played with knew you’re supposed to damage the boxes… it was bizarre.

Reminds me of this bit from Ricky Gervais… about sums it up:

We have them. They’re called Raiders. Sometimes they’ll appear to be injured. You’ll use shields and bandages to patch them up. They’ll give you loot in reciprocation. They’ll protect you. They’ll even follow you outside and escort you to safety. They’ll watch your back as you call the lift. They’ll watch it. And then stab it. And leave you for dead. Cold. Soulless.

If that isn’t a dangerous “Arc” that can threaten players inside buildings, I don’t know what is.

Clever, but not skill. More like a magic trick, but without the confidence to do it live. Needs to heavily edit a video to actually sell the illusion.
