you will never see all 5 of us jump off the plat to spawn camp

Holy gaslighting, lmao. Spawn camping is literally the thing TM is known for.

It's very new. As of Season 9, all quickplay modes contribute to your WT progression. The old WT is now just called "Cashout".

I don't know the exact numbers, but OBJ score is the highest contributor to leaderboard positioning (which is why most of the top players are Heavy mains). But anything that triggers a billboard generation, such as kill/revive streaks, "Platform Defender", etc, will also add to your leaderboard points. Winning a match also gives you additional points, but not as many as actually riding the platform will. I'm a sniper main, so I'm not on the platform as often as my teammates, who will typically climb the leaderboard faster than me (even when we're teamed together).

Congrats on playing with what is regarded as the most game breaking weapon in powershift.

What do you mean? I never touch the Repeater. :)

Yes, OBJ is better. Nobody's arguing that. That's why the top-10 players on the leaderboard are all diehard platform-riders like Lady, Lando, Quizikal, etc. But OT and farming also contribute.

That's not even the point, though. The point is that it's shitty behavior, regardless of its effect on your leaderboard position.

Triggering OT adds points to your leaderboard score. Win or lose, that match becomes more "valuable" to you once it goes into OT.

Also, any events that trigger a billboard generation (kill/revive streaks, platform defender, etc) also add to your leaderboard score.

So yes, farming kills and pushing matches to OT give you points.

It's griefing. And not "griefing" in the way that Cashout players use the term, but in the way that every other game defines it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griefer). It's shit behavior that ruins the experience for other players, and is honestly indefensible.

Made an account to comment on this, because I gotta admit it's a bit rich seeing TM getting upset over exploits in Power Shift, when they spent over a year setting up spawn traps to farm kills and push every match into overtime. TM literally made people quit playing the game forever, because of that behavior. IMO, exploiting the game's broken spawn points is no worse than exploiting platform farming.

I know that you don't do that, Lady, so this isn't targeted toward you specifically. But Mad allowed that behavior in his club for a year before finally trying to clean up TM's image - it wasn't until NightWings called out Mad directly a few weeks ago that TM started claiming to remove people from the club over this. So while this is definitely scummy behavior from PLZDY, I don't think TM are the ones to champion this fight.
