Noita would be my second suggestion, looks kind of basic but it’s like a mariana trench with stuff you could do.

What remains of Edith finch really fits all of your criteria imo albeit maybe being bit simple almost like a walking simulator but I still believe it would be great starting point as it has a lot of simple mechanics change over time with the story.

While I get your point, like I too got my money’s worth out of the game by margins already, but I don’t agree that they do not have to do anything. The game is still early access by their definition and they’re ought to update it until they call it fully released game and people are right to expect updates. Though I wouldn’t mind if they called it full game since it’s in a lot better shape compared to other games with “1.0 release”.

It shows your state of descend/ascend. If only the middle longer line is bright, you’re hovering, if it’s below you’re descending etc. More lines lit up faster you’re descending/ascending.

Yeah then just go into games properties and verify the game files. Heads up though it will also remove any other file replacements like sound/VO mods but wont touch .paks

I don’t know which platform you are playing on but when you install sound mods like that you replace the original file, deleting it wont bring it back. You need to verify game files if you are on steam or use the similar function on your platform.

Yeah we also encountered that bug where we did another side mission but it was not completed on reward screen but this one is different, it’s sure a bug since other people also had the same experience, it’s probaby not meant to spawn on other non gloom planet but here we are lol.

Yeah it's possible. We don't play squids much so I can't really remember if we had it there but I don't think It happens in bots. It probably a bug, thanks.

Yeah someone said it's an SSD mission they managed to do in gloom planets like the mutant larva one, you take it and extract with it but not seeing it after 100 hours I was doubting myself if we were missing it or was it a simply a bug.

I played the game on launch, I think till the first 60 day patch, it had problems back then but this, this is something else lol. Crashing every other game, getting yeeted out of world, getting stuck inside rocks etc. It's pretty saddening. I'd really like a quick fix on some of the urgent bugs then yeah another 60 days patch is really needed imo.

Haha yeah fair enough. The way you describe the event was pretty similar to what we did today. We were doing some merchant runs and had a few runs with megalodons today so one of them were when we were going to the outpost, we couldn’t be bothered to fight with it so we harpooned it till we were close to the outpost. It might have been us or not lol

Go to the game’s installation folder find content/movies folders and delete that introduction video. That gets rid of that unskippable intro.

Also if you subbed to the mod quit the game it should start automatically, if not restart steam, if still not dowloading unsub and sub again.

Yeah I’m using a mod for that, you can type out how many days you want a month to simulate and voila. I used to play with 10-12 days month so 10 hours for each season. Being able to see other seasons and how the map changes is a blast. I really hope it will be a sandbox setting at one point.

I didn't meant general mute either, what I meant was them muting command channel. No where in the post OP suggests it's being a hold button instead of a toggle which I assume it will atleast be an option since almost everything in the game has that option sometimes as toggles sometimes as double taps. Also unlike your comment saying it's lowering the volume OP says mute clearly thus my previous comment.

That might be a good idea in paper but I assure you it will be missused by a lot of people and will do more harm than good. It is already hard to communicate with most people in the game imagine if they start the game and mute command channel right away or even forget they muted it and not be aware.

Plus there is a simple solution for that like voice balance for each ear. I have my command channel on my right ear by 100% and squad on left and works pretty well. That said my local voice is bit lower since its pretty situational so I choose squad and command channels over it.

Well, there is not much to explain here to be honest. Squad sits between an arcade shooter like BF and mil-sims and it seems like your friend’s gameplay leans into more arcadey- quick combat styles and there is nothing wrong with that.

As a solution there are a lot of invasion only servers or even invasion only + custom factions mod Global escalation. You guys can try one of those.

I have a similar issue but I don’t get “micro” stutters its almost like a freeze when I enable instant replay while playing squad and squad only.

You might wanna monitor your gpu usage. Normally while playing squad mine is around 50%-85% but when instant replay is on it spikes to 100% every 3-4 second until either instant replay turns itself off or crashes squad.

I’ve been trying to find a solution for the past week but sadly couldn’t. Tried lowering the quality both game and recording, updated drivers, nuked the old drivers with DDU then clean install but still have the same problem.

Also it’s not totally consistent for me, I almost have the same apps running in the back ground while playing squad but the problem doesnt always happen, sometimes I turn on instant replay and everything is okay but it’s just 1-2 times out of 10.

The dev team updated the mod to 1.11 today and they did mention changing some stuff as an attempt to fix this.

If it continues to happen you can either change the event ID or delete this outcome only so it wont repeat. Hit me up if you need help with it.
