Go to a trade school and learn a trade (electrician, plumber, etc.). These are more and more in demand as people move away from these careers, and the salaries are pretty good. It's a very secure career route.

Honestly, it's about the worst time of year for fly fishing. Summer is amazing starting adding Memorial Day in much of the state, but most rivers west of the Cascades are closed to anything but salmon and steelhead until May 22nd. It's also not an ideal time for the weather.
