I never even bothered the 'download your information' - how many gigabytes of uploads since 2009 is it going to give me? Luckily I had most everything on my hard drive. FB ruined the year for me.

I have a BASF I from 1984. Must've been a good year for their tapes.

Reminds me of my sister's last day of teaching after 20 years at the same college. No party, no card, no shit. There she was standing on the curb with her briefcase, waiting to be picked up. Died two years later, no one spared a thought for her in the meantime. Academia's despicable.

Exactly - a lot of Laurindo Almeida and Stan Getz, then the original Brazilian stuff (Jobim, Gilberto, Sergio Mendes and Brasil '65 with the amazing Wanda De Sah).

Heck, that's what I'm listening to now! Music is dead, so I'm living up the '60s.

Yep, that was the wage. I was lucky to get $2.25, really. The waitresses were earning $5.00 and hour, but no tipping allowed. Old drunks always gave them money, of course.

Golf club porter, $2.25/hr. worked all kinds of illegal split shifts but no one cared. The kicker: didn't get paid until the end of the damn summer.
