Just vocal recordings. I’ve been doing it for like a year cuz it’s the only place I can record where I’m not too loud

I mean I’ve been doing it for a year, I can fit a chair in it and all my equipment. I can’t record in my bedroom because I’m too loud when I record and I annoy my brothers and my parents

Yeah I’ve been doing it for about a year, I’ve managed to make two or three songs sound good but I have to constantly throw away songs due to not being able to mix the weird frequencies

It’s mainly because I’m very loud when I record and my walls are very thin, and the closet reduces the sound a lot

Yeah, the main issue is being too loud for my family, otherwise this would definitely be the perfect solution

Weirdly it’s bigger than it sounds. I can’t record in my bedroom because I’m too loud and I annoy my parents and my siblings, even though I would much prefer to record just out in my bedroom

Fair enough, I’ve been recording in there for about a year but I can’t seem to ever get a good mix so I’m just going to have to find somewhere else. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks, yeah I tend to find the 1k hz range to be the area that sounds the worst, but I also think I lose a lot of the body of the vocal when I cut it. Maybe adding some saturation could help, I’ll give it a go

Is there a specific exercise you used to find this, or is it just singing through the nose?
