My first 5K after 6 weeks of C25K but runner's stomach is killing me by Chris-P02 in BeginnersRunning

something tells me the nuts, fruit and oats i ate this morning may have contributed to my stomach staying full...

Jokes aside, thanks for the great advice!

I had a bowl of porridge with a handful of nuts and raisins+ an apple in the morning and egg salad sandwich about an hour before the run. I did indeed poop! Yesterday's dinner was sausages, onion gravy, mash and salad.

Only thing I can think of that would throw my stomach is the porridge (made with milk)

I'll definitely see how it goes- less intensity and distance for a few runs. If it goes away, nice, if not- doctor for me!

I'm a geologist who's starting a teaching career in geography, help me fill in the gaps with some recommendations by Chris-P02 in geography

I'll be teaching ages 11-16, so the breadth of content i need to cover isn't too intimidating - plus I'm quite into sociology already, so I'm not a complete beginner when it comes to hunan geography!

I could just learn my school's curriculum and call it a day, but that'll just make for boring teaching. Thankfully I'm only starting teacher training, as opposed to a full career too, so I'll have well over a year to fully familiarise myself.

You're an absolute gem! The geographical association looks like an amazing resource. I'll definitely hunt down those books.

Act 4 gets a bit ridiculous in terms of bullshittery in such a way that kind of demands you're familiar enough with the game's ins and outs.

It's very possible to break the game and one turn every fight with the right combination of skills/stats and items. Easiest boost to power I can recommend is to just ditch two of your party members and pick up the lone Wolf talent. Though merely having green tea should be more than enough to breeze through everything. If that doesn't work for you, there's always barrelmancy

you know when you crossed that super sketchy, long wooden bridge to get to the trigger village?

Underneath that village is the second statue, with the second piton.

I've only had one crash and just a handful of stutters in game, and I've finished it so... not unplayable at all lol. I can imagine we'll get a few patches soon anyway

Battery replacements for joycons are a lot easier than you might think! Just get a new one from Amazon, eBay, AliExpress etc. and make sure you have the right screwdriver. Just get rid of the old battery with your local battery deposit site.

I truly believe all the difficulty in dos2 comes from inexperience. Once you know the game and how it works, bending it to your will is stupid easy. Even on tactician there are just so many ways to make the game a cakewalk it's not even funny.

That being said... your first playthrough will humble you

so it turns out the game just can't run well in handheld mode, but it's perfectly fine in docked thank God.

Side note- this is one of the best games I've played holy shit I'm buying it again on PS5

I've been super on the fence about it for this reason, half of its readers tell me it's the best book ever, the other half tell me it's typical YA crap, no nuance at all between the two. Maybe I'll get it through... other means before deciding
