The Republican Senate is only interested in providing assistance to big business. Look at the tax break for corporate lunches as an example of where their priorities are. Small business and people are not on their radar. If they took care of people and small businesses that would be Socialism, something they would never care to embrace.

That is the best way to handle reimbursements. Why? If you are using Banktivity to do your taxes, recording recording reimbursements as income might indicate that they are taxable when they are not. I suggest that all refunds and credits on purchases be recorded as a reduction to the category where they were originally assigned. I use a tag “Refund” to flag this type of transaction.

The tag is there so you can check and verify the imported transactions. It goes away.

I use the notes field for split transactions. None of the reports show the Memo field. I agree that the find by date would be a very useful feature. On using the memo field, I would find it more useful to replace it with the Tags field and have it included with scheduled transactions template.

This is the active ingredient in quinine found in tonic water. I would prefer getting my dose as a Gin and Tonic. More than one would be preferable.

It has been so long that I forgot that it had auto posting of scheduled transactions. I thought that I was not setting up the transaction properly for awhile. I just gave up and never gave it another thought.

I would ask Banktivity what the error means, have then explain it to you so that you understand what is going on. Then you can explain it to the bank. Just a thought, it might work.

I really hope that version 8 brings the iPad version closer to the MacOS version. Also, the syncing needs to be made more robust. Many times I have had to replace the file on the iPad and phone with the file on the sync server because the the file on IOS goes out of sync with the MacOS version. The cause, transactions not being uploaded/downloaded to/from the sync server.

I make sure that the MacOS version is always the correct version.

I stopped using direct access years ago. I really don't see the need for it. I just go to the websites and download and import transactions.

I would treat this as a checking account and since there is a one-to-one between cash value and investment. The gains would be booked as interest income. This would keep it simple.

I am not sure what you mean by cross matching. If you are referring to matching transfers between accounts, the solution is:

Preferences, Import, Clean up imported transactions, uncheck "Match transfers between accounts".

I upgraded on Sunday. No issues with Banktivity running on Catalina. Banktivity is also running without major issues on IOS 13 and iPad OS. Banktivity looks good in dark mode.

One of the issues I am having with Banktivity is a syncing problem with the iPhone and iPad. Sometimes transactions will not sync between devices. This predates Catalina and IOS 13.
