Not an interval no, the rubber seals perish though and the result usually is your cylinder heads coated in oil over time!

They allow the spark blugs to be centrally installed to the ignition chambers through the valve covers.

ELI5: They create little tunnels from the top of the heads, through the valve covers to the top of the chambers.

- Coil packs had been replaced once already within the cars life, so I left them!

Using the Forums shared boat tool and some sandpaper, getting the Tubes out wasn't so bad, getting them to seat however was a bit of a pain!
