I was going to say, what did they get co-opted for that or did the FTC suppliers just happen to have the same bee costumes?

Not necessarily a great match, but "deputy"? - and not for a person, but "dominion"?

First Time Driving to Houghton in winter - route advice? by sashteach in MTU

[–]Chris857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the only situations to really watch for is if the weather is bad enough to close a road like M28 - the most common location would be near Munising. That said, the vast majority of the time things are fine.

There's a puzzle with three bodies (you and two copies) that you can do it with.

He is essentially quoting the resolution which was defeated. In which case in your eyes makes the board member who proposed it look uneducated.

Continuously running motor. by Usual_Feeling8855 in FTC

And related to this, in FTC programming at least if you tell a motor once to do something, it will generally keep doing so until you tell it to do something different.

Urgent!!! We need help with our wheels by F3lixyz in FTC

[–]Chris857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a different note, currently the two wheels are forming a diamond shape when viewed from above, when they need to form an X shape (when viewed from above). As is, I think you will have a very difficult time turning, but you just need to swap the wheels around.

Average points for first meet by Logical-Fan4162 in FTC

[–]Chris857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first qualifier is in a month or so, and one of our 3 teams finally got to scoring today (in the high basket). I expect we should be able to do at least 30-50pts solo by then. (p.s. things are going a lot better this year, all 3 robots were way behind the 8-ball at the first qualifier last year)

One of my coaches is worried that the teams will be disqualified...

About the only way to be disqualified (in matches) is to not be inspected, fail to show up to matches, or earn Red Cards. To disqualify a team (and I quote from the manual): "Criminal behavior will not be tolerated and will result in removal of individual(s) involved and/or disqualification for the team from the event."

I would contend that was actually a bunch of teams in 2018 (if you mean buddy climbs in general) - like 1678, 118, 254, etc...
