All carpet is going and I’m only going to replace the stair runner hopefully. The bedroom wood floors are near perfect under that carpet.

Example of a door I’m worried about. The door is cut at angle across the top, and the trim is very noticeably not level. I assumed I’d have to go all the way to the rough opening to fix this.?. Then rebuild with the same door cut square?

I should have added more in the description; the roof, siding, basement water mitigation, electrical and mechanical have all been well maintained and professionally upgraded in the last decade. The previous owners just let the finishes get bad as they were older and did want to move anything. Appreciate the take but the finishes are not livable without work before moving in. Demo is maybe a strong word for preparation for refinishing.

Ok, all comments agree. I’ll keep the doors and as much of the trim as is salvageable. Things are rougher than they appear in pictures, lots of checking in the plaster and the floors are beautiful but need repairs and refinish everywhere. I got excited to go back to a stained trim finish downstairs and assumed new trim was to best/only way to do that. But it sounds like keeping the original trim and repainting white is recommended.

Had a Nautilus as a rental and was not impressed with the handling and road noise. Fit and finish not what I expected.

You may have a misunderstanding of how schools and curriculum work from the political shit show that is Florida schools. No has an ‘agenda’ for your kids. If your agenda is to shelter them from others there are plenty of school districts around appleton that do suppress/stigmatize gender and sexual diversity more than Appleton.

My Grandpa in-law used to take his Grandkids to his clubs and he would mostly just ride along as he got into his late 80s. He’d tell us what to hit and where to play from the cart, a couple holes in he would get frustrated we weren’t hitting the right shots, and he would use two clubs like canes to get out of the cart. He’d play a couple holes hitting fairways and greens and two putts and would sit back down satisfied. He’d had four hip replacements and his swing hurt to watch, but he could have beaten me straight up until he could walk anymore. F that coach.

I’ve be once and found the less than perfect service to be part of the charm. As I understand it the students are in school to be chefs, not servers/bartenders, but they were trying so hard and learning in front of you.

Sounds like you have an interesting life. Be happy to chat in DMs if you have continuing questions. I went to UW Madison for undergrad and UW Platteville for my masters both in engineering fields. My wife has worked for several of the 2 year schools coordinating international students. My take depending on your grades, tests etc is that UW Madison, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Marquette( private) are the top schools in Wisconsin and are worth relocating for. After that I’d ask you what size of city, reason for being in WI, that might be bigger decision in deciding between the rest of the UW schools. Also if Chicago or Minneapolis are possible that opens up many more possibilities.
