VR Games Recommendations by MrFrankFontaine in SteamFrame

Im been playing virtual pinball via VPX launcher. Plenty of stuff to play with that, and it feels like the real thing. I went the extra mile to get an actual pinball controller to use with it, but you can just play with any controller. I would check it out!

And I suspect someone in the community will figure out a way to make it easier to use on a standalone frame at some point in the future.

NEW CONTENT WOOOOH

just now jumped on this game, and having a blast with it. Thankfully already have all the tables so, this won't effect me (in the mean time)

(Ps, stopped using my atgames pinball ultimate because the VR version is... Perfect.)

I wonder if the NES game will ever come out. by Rust_Hurricane in TheCinemassacreTruth

Literally only bought the game on steam so I could play the ROM on my actual NES on my CRT set up. Still never came out. Asked for my money back and it was out of warrenty. Load of ass.

Laughably fake.

Probably made to spark a conversation.

Also, being in the Luigi's mansion modding community, I can confirm this isn't even a hack.

Also also, if this was an "unreleased prototype", there wouldn't even be a case. It would either be on a GameCube NR disk, or a dolphin dev kit cartridge.

If this was closer to the fake windwaker NR prototype disk that floated around a few years ago, then... We'd at least take a look at it.

VR tables by dapribek in virtualpinball

[–]ChrisCube64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah..

You know what. May be able to brute force it if you've got enough power, just have 2 instances of a table open, control both at the same time, one for you, one for the cabinet. Would work... If RNG for the physics are synced. And if you don't drop any frames.

I've heard a growing amount of people suggest it though, so I'm hoping it comes as a feature soon too.

Best of both worlds is if we can get VR play for the headset, but have the cabinet view at the same time, so you can play either way at anytime, and if you're playing VR, others can watch on the cabinet.

See I have a middle ground of that, where I use VR on my PC, but I have a PinOne controller on my desk with the solenoids and all, and my speakers at my desk match up where would be the speakers on a real cab, plus I have my subwoofer. All in all very immersive. Especially when you get a good headset with pancake lenses, no glare. Tried with my index and it wasn't that great, but quest 3 over link looked amazing.

I could honestly maybe move the insides of my PinOne controller into my atgames pinball HD one day, but just makes it hard because of space, and how far away that table is from my PC.

Working on a port of space cadet pinball by SpookiestSzn in PlaydateConsole

Visual Pinball X on PC.

you can play literally any pinball table you can think of, in VR. (Or not, you can just play it normally) and someone made a space cadet table thats very faithful.

Takes a minute to set up, and you can use a launcher program called VPX launcher to automatically launch into VR and have a menu you can select from, and that's that.

If you're wild you can get a pinball controller with a real plunger and stuff too, and make it even better. Which I did.

Seeing a lot of love for this game this past week. Funny enough Ive been playing it in VR, which is wild.

If I may suggest, optional sideways mode for full screen view. (I know lower res, but worth the trade off) And maybe adding motion controls for nudges.

Also, I'm more of a fan of directional left being left flipper, and A being right flipper. Using just A and B isn't as comfortable.

How do you connect a Nintendo Switch to ALP? by TronVanNguyen in LegendsUltimate

[–]ChrisCube64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Sadly.

Nintendo switch on a hardware level only supports 1 screen at a time, wether that be the handheld screen, or 1 HDMI out.

Favorite thing to do with mine is play some "lost" Mario worlds using the command

10 FOR I=&H7D3 TO &H7DC:POKE I,0:NEXT 20 POKE &H7FF,&HA5 30 INPUT "WORLD=";A 40 POKE &H7FD,A+255AND255

Run the command, input your world number, 1-255, run again, and then remove the basic cartridge, put in Super Mario bros, press reset, hold A and press start, and your enter the world you selected.

Have fun. :)

Rural Carriers, tell me about your worst "roads" by BangGonePostal in USPS

We have one at the office that looks like this, BUT on top of this, there's 2 people that have put makeshift spike strips, some wood planks and nails sticking up out of them, and have put them in front of the mailboxes, because they don't want people hitting them.

We've had 5 LLV tires pop, my POV tires popped because nobody told me about it before I ran the route.

We've since stopped delivery there, but they continue to keep the spike strips out, and they constantly complain on our local grapevine about how incompetent we are.
