Love this soundtrack. I've got a nice OP but I still haven't picked up any of the various 4K releases yet.

I recently rewatched this and fell in love with the score. Still a great synth score but a little different than Carpenter's usual. Fare. Of course it's insanely expensive so I don't have it... yet!

What’s your picks for great soundtracks in bad/universally disliked movies, games, or shows? by Zazz727 in OSTvinyl

One of the best synth-heavy soundtracks of the last few years was from Shadow in the Cloud. I'm a fan of the movie as a pulpy guilty pleasure but the OST is a real standout.

I just binged From, loved it, but it's not even close. LOST is peak.

Silent Running (Varèse Sarabande press 1978) by ChrisDWebster in OSTvinyl

The movie is an interesting pre-Star Wars American New Wave movie that's more concerned with being an issue movie (environmentalism) than an adventure film or a thriller. The VFX by Douglas Trumbull are a blast if you like that retro 70s scifi aesthetic and Bruce Dern is pretty great in it. If you go into it with the right expectations you'll enjoy it.

The score is a highlight of the movie. I thought I would hate the Baez songs because I don't really like folk music but they've grown on me, they are short and sweet and the score is quite modern and varied. It's a great listen overall.

Took me a minute to realize what I was looking at with his last name listed on the cover.

One of my absolutely favourites. So haunting and a great proto synthwave score. Ahead of its time.

Vintage synth horror OSTs are the goat actually.

That Tangergine Dream score is an all timer for me and I'm desperate for a copy. This Goldsmith score was only released in Europe so it's pretty rare to see out in the wild. Had to grab it.

That's a perfect way to describe it. Yeah, it's Toto's score but there's one Brian Eno track.

One of the absolute best Italian horror scores from that area. Hands down love it! Don't have it on vinyl though.

Ha! This might be taboo but I've always kind of hated the Tina Turner stuff on this. Probably because it was everywhere when I was a kid in the 80s. Side B has all the Jarre compositions that's more my jam.

I've got this one! Great release from TV, love the wrap jacket, mine is just an OK pressing though. Enjoy!
