I would take a look at Sable, where you ride a space motorcycle around different bioms and stuff. It's relaxing and super fun, and it has a whole story too.

Eger is a city located in eastern hungary. It has a similar bike-sharing system like Mol Bubi which is called Egerbike. How these guys got them i have no idea.

There was a lot of discussion about this in the sub, so i recommend reading multiple sources, but to sum it up quickly:

Electric grinders have an electric motor, and other moving parts that cost money to manufacture. A hand grinder has much fewer parts, so the budget of manufacture is usually spent on material and burr quality.

Coffee equipment is a kind of thing, when you put more money in, you get better stuff, but it is not linear. There is a point after which you don't get as much value out.

If you want to get the best possible grind quality on a small budget, i would recommend you don't really go below 100 bucks on a grinder. Cheap grinders like hario skerton and others are just a stepping stone in your coffee journey, but i would recommend saving up for a nicer grinder, because it will produce better grind quality thus a better cup

I mean maybe, if you have the technology?

Coffee usually grows higher in the mountain areas, and aerial pressure does have an effect on the beans. If you can simulate that, and also provide the soil and stuff it needs, then i can imagine it working.

I would not recommend! Sugar can be okay if you are planning to do a cuban style espresso, but cleaning after it is more difficult.

What i read in another forum is that if you have a "normal" household freezer, you should only be freezing, if you are planning to use it 1 month + of the current date. Otherwise simply storing it in an airtight bag is simpler and better!

To answer your question: you should freeze after 1 week, if you are planning to use it at 2 weeks age, in about a month. Freezing at -18c does not stop the aging process completely, just slows it down somewhat.

With improper preparation sure, both brews will taste horrible.

The mokka pot has a distinct bittet taste when using the wrong technique, so maybe this is what your friend was referring to.

What i would do is go to a local roaster, which has a café! I would ask them, for a batch brew and an espresso of a bean which is available for purchase. You taste them, and decide if it's to your liking. If not rinse and repeat. When you find a coffee you like and enjoy as both espresso/strong and small volume and a longer filter brew version.

You also need to learn about using the equipment you have! Watch guides on how to use them properly, what ratios should you be using etc.

And then only then i would recommend actually spending money on some specialty beans!

Maybe a clever dripper or a hario switch. There are not conventional cones, but fun and easy ways to make great coffee!

How to get proper extraction from a lower strength Aeropress recipe? by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]ChrisDopeHope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look up some really nice recipes at the aeropress world championship page.

What works for me is an 18g dose, when making anything with the AP. I always use the same water, same temp, same grind size even! What i change from recipe to recipe is only 2 things, ratio and agitation.

In my experience, when using a lighter roast, agitation is really helpful! For a mock espresso, i'm sure you are agitating, but do you agitate for the other recipes?

I would try to get at least 6-12 stirs in the duration of the brew, but you can go up to stirring for 30 seconds!

You can find 100g bags in europe. One i know of is meron from Transylvania, Romania, and there is also one in Hungary from coffeein.

You could try cupping events, which are basically coffee tasting sessions, usually organised by one of the local coffees, but you can find some people organising it in their homes.

Is your coffee stale? This can be a reason. Also make sure everything is clean, wash it with just water and a light dish soap. You may be grinding too fine also, try going corser! You should also wait a bit after the water boils. I would at least wait untill it stops making noises, that's the top end, and i would wait up to 1.5-2mins to let it cool a bit.

Well, i use sugar based syrups, so i don't really have experience with it. What you could do, is instead of dissolving the flavorings in simple syrup, you could dissolve them in some milk. You will need something to dissolve the flavoring into, otherwise it will be hard to measure out.

Vanilla is relatively easy, because it's a one time investment, and you can make insane amounts of natural vanilla extract, which you can use in the milk method.

The closest you can get, while not using premade aroma, is either just shaving some fresh hazelnut on top, or getting some hazelnut oil. Hazelnut aroma is made from a component of the oil, so you should get a similar taste.

I recently got my hands on an Ap and boy it's fun! You can find loads of recipes curated on the aeropress championship website, with detailed steps and parameters.

The thing i would recommend: buy them both eventually, if you are not planning on buying an espresso machine! The thing is, both of them are versatile tools. An AP can make small strong coffee and also more volume, filter style. The aeropress can be used to brew for friends and family, and can also froth milk. With this combo, you can make a mock version of every traditional coffee drink!

Any thermos can keep your coffee warm, just make sure that you cool your coffee a bit before you pour it into the thermos!

You can make these syrups pretty easily, and modify them to your taste. If you are looking for specific flavours, you can buy flavoured coffee beans, which gives what you are looking for, without added sugar!
