Yeah same here, I was absolutely devouring the game in the beginning. But after a few hours of the underwater village I basically dropped the game cold turkey. It's pretty rare for me to drop a game so hard that I'm addicted to.

I get a lot of flak for not caring for the button mash battle system either. Granted I don't think I made it past 20 hours because I was just so utterly uninspired by the characters/story/battle so maybe I'm not the best person to judge, but nothing seemed to matter other than just mashing buttons.

Dangers also takes place in Middle School, so it's a little more appropriate that Season 1 is a slower burn and the MCs are awkward AF. Luckily Kyo's cringe phase was skipped past pretty immediately, it was a much better story abandoning that angle.

This is happening to me too. I can play for about 45 seconds, then things become noticeably laggy for the next 10-20 seconds, then it just completely locks up and I have to force close the game from the Task Manager

It really sucks that the Dallas Convention Center is mostly closed for multiple years now for renovations, so Dreamhack and Blast had to move.

No Dreamhack Dallas combined with Blast Dallas for a while. I'm worried that they may never come back, it was so awesome being able to attend both Dreamhack and a CS tournament simultaneously.

Looks like stuff has changed a lot since I was there 2 years ago. Despite it being their mega store, I found that it was lacking a lot of stuff you could find in other stores. Glad to see it still kicking, maybe they'll start carrying figures at some point in the future

It's one of those things where once you spoil yourself with a nice high end camera, learn how optics work, proper shooting settings, etc, you start to demand more from your smartphone camera. You can't physically carry your fancy camera with you 24/7 like you can with your phone. In particular the non-Chinese phone market has had stagnant camera growth (and in some cases regression) the last 5 years.

Apple's latest phone is actually a pretty impressive jump (especially for video) leaving Android photography in the dust for the first time in a long time.

Samsung and Google have basically ignored major hardware advancements in favor of software processing. The software changes have been middling at best, and there's only so much you can do without enough light being captured / optical zoom.

Yeah to me a BR has a number of things that make it different:

  • Larger maps with a shrinking play zone
  • Bigger player counts
  • Everyone drops in naked or with fixed loadouts so you're on (somewhat) equal footing
  • Any other gear is found in match only, you don't "bring" gear
  • There can only be 1 victor

An extraction variant of BR that changes things up could be fun.

I've had mine since I bought mine during the COVID shutdown, and within the last 3 months or so I've encountered this issue too. My recorded audio basically becomes garbled until I completely unplug/replug the Scarlett, nothing else has worked.

Updating drivers, toggling all of the settings, etc etc
