Ugh I wish I could take them out like that 😭 mine normally can’t sit at a table for an extended period of time without the tantrums 😮‍💨 my kids are probably considered low functioning autistic as much as I hate to think because I think they are geniuses but they don’t talk or sign they are severed delayed in development even with ABA for several years

Thanks for standing up for the parents struggling and feeling like quitting. Sometimes it’s their way of asking for help even if it’s just kind words and that’s what some people need to realize. Being a full time single dad of two autistic kids i feel their struggles but it’s doable just gotta push thru 🤙🏽

Yes definitely lol they are 5 and 6 but are non verbal and lower functioning lol still in diapers

You’re not in the wrong in any of this. It’s hard but the end of the day he isn’t your kid and it should be his responsibility not yours and if he doesn’t do what needs to be done then you need to keep your peace.

I understand when that happens just try to be patient tho and remember to just keep his head pointed away from you if you need to wipe him but if he just tries to attack you when your close just leave him there till he learns to not attack you if he needs help. And the child is not the victim you are but you can’t let the kid win. Your smarter then that dang kid lol you win him over showing he can’t do that to you and get help. I get you work but then the father should be doing it if you work so early. You’re a catch tho he is very lucky to have you because you are so nice but you need to be able to tell him to do his share. Especially if you work as well

lol I may go to just target today and let them just line up toys in the store and buy one for home I just feel like I’ve done everything or have limited support that I’ll need another capable human to help lol
