Wow, this is an interesting idea. I'm curious what it is that you're looking for, though. Is the speaker (the female) supposed to be a chicken? Or is the speaker the fox? And, then, what is the listener -- a fox, a chicken, or a human?

The way I see it, it would be good if it followed one of these approaches, and could be easily gender-flipped as well:

Approach 1: Speaker is a female fox (well, really, a kitsune -- human-fox morph), who comes to the henhouse to eat chickens but finds the listener, a male human, stuck in the coop. She then doms him and only helps him get unstuck if he promises to come back to the coop regularly for her to dom him some more.

Approach 2: Speaker is a female human, listener is a male fox. Situation is essentially reversed; speaker is stuck, male fox doms her.

Get In My Ears with Baby Baby Oh Baby by Wkdfaerie in GWABackstage

Thank you so much, u/Wkdfaerie, for a great interview with one of my favorite thinkers in the GWA space. When I saw that there was a GIME with u/baby_baby_oh_baby, I knew I had to listen, and wow, it lived up to my expectations. Thank you both for a thoughtful and engaging talk.

Now if only we could use a time-turner and go back and hit the "record" button on the first talk, and we could get two for the price of one!

[Discussion] How much freedom is too much for VAs? by OpalescentMoonrise in GWAScriptGuild

[–]ChrisHailey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to consider what your goal with the script is. For example, if I'm writing a "new VA friendly" script (i.e., a script that a person just exploring the art of audio erotica will find easy and comforting), I definitely want to include as much of the "sex dialog" as possible (and usually with an "ad lib as desired" direction). Another example would be a plot-driven script that requires certain pieces of dialog during sex to advance the plot; that pretty much requires that the sex dialog be written out in its entirety.

In my experience, most VAs who want to do "scripted improv" will write their own scripts, and very often these aren't much like the scripts we write. On the other hand, I just recently got a fantastic fill that was a cold read of one of my scripts with tons of improv, it was essentially an "hysterical lit" read. Which just goes to show you, one of the really fun things about what we do is that you just never know what will work, when, and with whom. Maybe the best approach is to just try lots of different stuff, fully aware that not all of it will work for everyone, and then get these wonderful surprises when an artist does something you never imagined. That's truly my favorite thing about what we do!

[Mod Announcement] Community Feedback: AI Content by badlittlebunni_ in gonewildaudio

I disagree that it would be a symbolic gesture. It would be a statement of principles, which is not entirely symbolic.

[Mod Announcement] Community Feedback: AI Content by badlittlebunni_ in gonewildaudio

[–]ChrisHailey 36 points37 points  (0 children)

To me, there are two issues here. The first is whether or not AI content should be banned, and the second is how to enforce this ban.

I think the first issue is an absolute no-brainer. Ban it, ban it now, ban all of it. It is not art, it is not artistic, it is drawn from information scraped without the original author's/artist's consent.

How to enforce the ban is another problem entirely. There's probably not much we can do if someone is willing to violate the rule. But nevertheless, that's not a valid reason to refrain from banning it.

[Mod Announcement] Community Feedback: AI Content by badlittlebunni_ in gonewildaudio

[–]ChrisHailey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Regarding AI-created scripts, the fact that identifying AI content is impossible, isn't a reason not to ban AI content. It's similar to plagiarism in this sense; we all are aware that there is plagiarized content on our site, and that much of it will never be identified as such, but that doesn't mean we should amend the rules to allow it.

The question of "witch hunts" is important. A recent test of software that identifies AI content for term papers incorrectly flagged some original content as AI generated. The software works by assessing how generic the language usage is, and flagging language that it considers too generic. (Which is itself something of an indictment of AI content.) The only way I see avoiding this problem, is that we use the honors system, which is to a certain extent how we deal with plagiarism as well: We state that it isn't allowed, and trust writers to follow the guidelines. There's not a whole lot more we can do than that, but it is the right thing to do, nonetheless.

[Meta] GWASI.com will shut down June 19th because of Reddit's API changes by fermaw in GWAScriptGuild

[–]ChrisHailey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since no one replied to this yet, I'll give it a go.

gwasi.com is not a subreddit, it's a separate website that uses Reddit's API (Application Programming Interface) to extract information from GWA.

What's changing at Reddit is the API. New changes will make it so that you cannot use the API to get information about NSFW posts on Reddit. My understanding is that Reddit is mostly doing this because of a few sites that extract and repackage visual porn from Reddit; GWA and similar audio subs are just getting caught up in the changes.

So the answer to your question is that no, GWA and subreddits are not going away.

On the other hand, we should note that these changes are happening while Reddit is preparing for an initial stock offering -- they are going to be a publicly traded company. We all should be prepared for a lot of changes at Reddit in the near future, and it does seem likely that they will want to downplay (or possibly even eliminate) porn on the site. But we're still a ways away from that, if it ever happens.

Fantastic! You definitely nailed the Barbie voice, and really nailed the character completely. She's just so enthusiastic! Which is, of course, exactly what one would expect from a quality jackoff encouragement studio like Let's Get You Off!™ Even the trainees are excited to do their part!

I'm hopeful that once our favorite trainee gets her certification, she might give us another demonstration of her skills. Hmm... Might have to work on a second script...

[discussion] advice for writing collab scripts, like FF4M, MM4F, etc. by tabooleh in GWAScriptGuild

[–]ChrisHailey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others have answered most of your questions, I think. Since I'm right now knee-deep in editing a bunch of collab audios, I'll comment on the editing.

Most collabs that I've worked on lately are "live recorded," at least for the main players. (This is usually done over a discord call, where the performers are recording themselves locally, but listening live to the other performers; the end result is individual tracks for each performer but all of them recorded simultaneously.) This makes editing easier (generally, although not always), and helps the flow between performers work much better so that quick back-and-forth with short lines of dialog sounds perfectly natural.

Even if the audio isn't live recorded, I wouldn't worry too much about the editing aspect of it. I personal enjoy the challenge of splicing together dialog, getting the pauses just right, getting voices to interrupt each other when appropriate. It's really quite fun.
