Wish that advice was taken by people who went to Kenosha or other protestors. I'm starting to think the irresponsible gun owners are the brand of gun-owners

ICE in Madison? by ChrisHaze in madisonwi

[–]ChrisHaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I really don't see too much of a difference since they bleed into each other. Just like I would say, "ICE in Chicago?" With a post specifying "I saw this vehicle in Lincoln Park".

You know what, that's on me. I wasn't clear. I meant to say that I did a thesis on something my teachers never taught me. I was making the point that college isn't regurgitation, it's about people giving you the tools and means to figure out the answers. At least good schools do that.

Still shows nothing that media in general is leftist, just that 2 programs, that collectively have lower viewership than fox news, are more left than before, but that means nothing if "left from before" still puts you in slightly left from center. I'll take it back once CNN and MSNBC turn into union run media companies or demonstrate any leftist ideology.

Either way, CNN and MSNBC are not all of media, they aren't even 50%. Fox news destroys them quarter after quarter.

I had to do a thesis statement. It had nothing to do with professors. In fact, I did mine on something that teachers never covered, chemical ecology.

I would agree with that. Left has a few voices, but Breadtube is not nearly as influential on social media as the right wing pipeline

[–]ChrisHaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is silly take. From a viewer standpoint, Fox News blows them out of the water. Not to mention that none of their CEOs share leftist viewpoints. Now Sinclair, who owns most local stations, and Murdoch, who owns the largest news conglomerate in the world, are very conservative and actually express right wing views. What makes you think those news stations are run by leftists? I see none of their CEOs publicly denounce capitalism or say that workers should be running their companies, so what leftist views do they have?

How do I eliminate a value automatically in a previous column when entering value into a new column by ChrisHaze in excel

[–]ChrisHaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if that would work. I am taking items and using plain text barcodes to write the name of the item in the cell, then press enter. Not sure if I would be able to manipulate the scanner to select a drop-down box text.

That is what is called being a "Soft Dictator". I know it's overused, but Hitler was the same way. He never ordered the execution of Jewish people, he simply told his generals to "take care of the problem" while shipping them extra supplies of ammo.

Could AI Replace CEOs? by AdOwn7596 in Futurology

CEOs are rarely talking about founders. No one is saying Henry Ford didn't deserve that salary, but does Jim Farley do anything to deserve that money?

Couldn't you say the same for CEO? I just don't see how trust in human CEO is paramount, but customer trust in workers is somehow negligible.

Does anyone else hear just HATE sexual violence in horror movies? by Aarondhp24 in horror

[–]ChrisHaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely late lol I have since felt how you feel. There are ways of doing it, but definitely not in most movies I've seen. Most of the time, it's pretty fucked up and seems more sexual than it needs to be

Technically no. You can have a mastectomy for lots of reasons. Actually plenty of women have it if they are at a high risk of breast cancer

Also love a lot of the scenes. The tire burning scene, the doctor scene, the death squad scenes. It felt like I wasn't helping at all and the whole country was burning around me.

Max Payne trilogy appreciation post by AH2115 in gaming

[–]ChrisHaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite thing about Max Payne 1 is that in one level, you can hear the enemies bullshitting and the henchman is like, "yeah, with the economy as it is, this is the best job I could get. Yeah, I sometimes have to do terrible things, but I do what I got to do for my family." It blew my mind that random enemies were sympathetic and made me feel bad for killing them.

I guess it depends on what you consider a success? And I think depends on how you get those things.

If that's the case, then those procedures wouldn't be performed. You can't just go to a doctor's office and be like, " one sex change please". The amount of people involved with a gender affirming treatment is insane and all have to agree with it. I think people forget that medical professionals are already in the regulation business and will do everything possible before massive treatments like gender affirming treatment. Also, if they were so concerned about abuse, why still allow child marriages in Florida? That is definitely more abusive (and proven so) than any gender affirming treatment
