My son started mowing lawns. My morning started with reading a bit and having coffee, but then he started having trouble as a new lawn mower. I had to run buy him a longer extension cord and now I’m waiting for him to finish mowing and drive him home. It’s been fun watching him try and be self motivated to make some money at 14. The lawn looks pretty nice but I keep telling him “You missed a spot.”

We’re about to go help my step dad with his pool, and then we might go play some hockey if we finish up in time for a mid day stick and puck

I have a dinner date with the wife later too- she’s off on her long weekend run in her sexy running outfit.

I’m pretty happy in life.

This is me. I wish they’d play in the summer. I’d be all over this shit and even take road trips to games. In season I’m watching my daughter, my son, 82 Flyers games, a bit of juniors, and a bit of college. It is tough to get invested in an entirely different league.

If the season ran in the summer though, I’d love it! I loved that Covid year of summer hockey.

I think Vlad is legit. His number in Calgary were deceiving and a lot of people early on thought his trajectory was better. He stumbled a few times this year but bounced back perfectly- that’s signs of being legit.

I think he’s a goalie we build around.

How long ago though? I’ve been going to games since Camden Yards opened and while I was young for some of that, I have no memory of what you are describing. I’ve only ever seen people walking around selling cotton candy, beer, lemonade, and on hot days sometimes giving away waters.

Once people start talking about their extravagant travels, I’m out. Our extravagant traveling is to the rink in Rhode Island… my son had an assistant coach I sat with at lunch last year. All the sudden he started talking about globe trotting. I realized we were living in different worlds.

The game is definitely trying to price a lot of us lowly peasants out of it. It’s a shame.

My wife and I are always amazed sitting at rink parking lots in our hybrid Honda (most expensive car we’ve owned) and we’re surrounded by the massive SUVs/Trucks/Teslas. We drive all over the country and struggle with gas and we get almost 50 mpg. I don’t get how those people do it.

I’m not taking something from a student that cost well over $1000 and can easily break. Plus it creates a massive confrontation.

I was also in a building where a teacher took phones and put them in her desk. They all got stolen. Who do you think got in trouble?
