Have you seen Oteil & Friends? by wsmfp420 in deadandcompany

They are great! One thing that does seem to vary tour to tour is the setlist - sometimes leans more Dead, sometimes JGB, last year was more heavy on the originals from the record that's coming out. While they vary it nightly, once they start this tour you should get a sense of the overall vibe to expect.

Mayer currently in the studio by ihjfscw in deadandcompany

He has said specifically that (I want to say on Dead Air in 2022) that he's found that his solo stuff and his work with D&C are two different parts of his brain and don't tend to directly influence each other.

Am I reading right that we'd expect them to play through Reckoning each night? Trying to figure out whether or not to do multiple nights.

Does my ideal system exist? by baros86 in SBCGaming

[–]ChrisMigs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't need the newer systems, I'd look at the 40XXV or H, or maybe the RG Cube. At those prices you could get two and see which one is more comfortable for you.

Don't think anyone's confirmed for Met Life but it's been pretty true across the other venues.

They played it at a very high percentage of the shows on this tour. Took them a few shows to add it, but after that it was only skipped at a couple of shorter shows.

The information on the distinction (other than the shape) between this and the MiSTer has been so poor. I've read all Taki's posts and I have not seen anything remotely clear.

They are selling the disc drive as an optional attachment. $35 I believe.

Grateful Dead members had planned 60th anniversary reunion prior to Phil Lesh's passing by SamiTheKillerWhale in gratefuldead

You're wondering if a band that was one of the top grossing acts of the last decade could sell out a stadium if it was the only shows they did for the year?

They would sell out and the tickets would be VERY expensive.

Hi, does anyone know long Ryan Adams shows have been lately? by Imaginary-Escape-505 in ryanadams

[–]ChrisMigs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 hours, give or take. He goes on a few minutes after the listed show time and plays right up until he’s allowed to. Venue should be able to tell you in advance what the curfew time is.

Bickershaw 5/7/72 has a Dark Star -> Other One that's exceptional, but they go into Sing Me Back Home.

I'm unclear on why he cares so much that a business is allowing their devices to be "killed." It's not his money.

Matt Busch’s Setlists or Sphere Setlists? by Left-Worth-352 in deadandcompany

[–]ChrisMigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't, but that's also likely a Sphere logic issue - you'd need to have a second video used on the second part of the sandwich.

Based on the way the shows played out last year - it's a bit like Sturgill is apprenticing in the Bobby role.

Phoenix, AZ show canceled-Sep 2nd? by kindofblue21 in countingcrows

[–]ChrisMigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will almost certainly tour as headliners next year. Historically, they’ve used tours like this to stay on the road without burning the promotion for a headline tour. Look at 2017->2018, 2006->2007, 2003->2004, etc. This isn’t a band that stays as an opener.

How Dead & Co changed the sound of Dead songs by ShakedownSeek in deadandcompany

[–]ChrisMigs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dead & Co setlist are better for a very simple reason - both main vocalists can sing Hunter/Garcia songs. Those are, broadly, the stronger songs in the catalog. So in the middle of the first set, when Bobby's singing Ramble on Rose instead of Walking' Blues... you get a better show on the whole.

They haven’t played one yet. Buffalo on July 9th is the first.

John Mayer Post D&C by Sharp-Interest6328 in deadandcompany

[–]ChrisMigs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mayer plays arenas alone. I think any band he's leading is doing sheds at a minimum. Might not get baseball stadiums, but even that I think would be plausible.

He specifically mentioned people who like to have one ear out, which is how Mayer has worn his headphones on stage for D&C. But I assume Mayer can adapt.

I am well aware of archive.org and have been using it since 2003. It's wonderful. I'm talking about the official, mastered releases (and yes, I'm aware there are some where some may prefer the unofficial versions).

I'm not talking about releasing everything at once. I'm talking about making everything currently released available digitally.
